need some help with paint job

my wife and i are about to move back to waldorf, MD by 0ct. Hopefully, i have been wanting a decent paint job on my camaro for over a year now, and she has given me the go ahead on doing it when taxes come back for this year,

so my question is, does anybody know of a good place to get a car painted in southern maryland, preferably as close to waldorf as possible but i can make it as far as lusby/solomons island area dont really wanna go past that

i live in beltsville at the moment and had plans on a shop up here, but since the move is coming i would rather have it done down there.

any help would be nice, if you had your car painted at the shop you are reffering would be great, or even if you work at a shop that does paint

i plan on taking care of alot of the body work, and will most likely have it towed to the shop because i want it partially apart before paint (ie. rear spoiler, all lights, blah blah blah)

thanks in advanced and sorry if this question has been asked before, this is just the best way for me to get my answers while at work

Very very amazing painter, kinda slow turn around from time to time.
I had my corolla painted here after it was wrecked. Awesome job, it
took quite a while to get done so he is now helping me deal w/insurance
company, good guy.

Re: need some help with paint job

ok, need some help again,

we ended up not moving to Waldorf, and i now am prepping my car for paint, my question

i have a friend who offered to paint my car, thing is he has never painted an entire car before(he went to school for autobody and custom hot rod fabrication)

he told me to buy Paint(im keeping my car Black),Clear coat, and primer surfacer

my question is how much of the above do i need for a base coat/ clear coat job for our cars(i dont want to buy overkill because im trying to save money)

and does anybody know where i can find good midcost paint/Clear? i dont want cheap paint like duplicolor but i dont NEED HOK or PPG, just want a nice lasting good quality paint thats not really expensive

1 gallon of each.Won't use it all but most of it.
I used Nason on mine.Car Quest or Mattos.

Be prepared to wet sand and buff.

Autobodystore.com has alot of good info, good people.
Good Luck
