You might want to make it an Fbody event for all generations. Unless you think you can draw that large of a crowd?
well honestly i love the idea of haveing all f-bodys , but its a parts store , so it might work out better for people with any type of car , even those little crapy imports ,

I agree with the last part so I would like a to request parking sections. I know its gonna be tough but if it can be done, great! I don't really want to look at any more of the r1cers than I have to because there are more than enough at the school I go to.
The only advantage they have over us is weight!
Power wise... we'll kick their a55 anytime!
Domestic is the only way to go.
ok guys i ran it past my boss today an he seemed very pleased with the idea , so it looks good for summer an all the f-bodys will have their own section , we deserve it ,lol,, an geek man i couldnt agree with you more !! ,, damn will summer hurry up an come ,lol
an i wish it could be a domestic only show but that deffinetly wouldnt be good for the store , an hey we dont have to talk to them , personally i wont even be considering them their, lol

For any of you interested in autocrossing your vehicle, the races take place at Miller Park about once a month. They also have a intro class in the beginning of the season so anyone that has no idea what to do could come then and also get some seat time. It's like $25-35 I think to race for the day. Its only on weekends, and it goes from 8am-5pm. I'll post again when it gets closer to the intro class.
I'm the only thirdgen there, and there are only 2 other f-bodies (4th gens). I think it would be pretty neat to all of a sudden have 6 thirdgens.
Just an idea though...

I was a newbie at the beginning of the year and I ended up 7th out of about 70 in my class racing my dads 4-door Dodge Dakota Sport. I didnt use my camaro till the last two races because... well... thats when I bought it.

dude that sounds awesome to , me an my dad would do that , when does it start up , whats the requirements ,
Drivers School was on Saturday, April 28th this year so I would think it would be sometime around then for 2008. It is $60 for the school, but it includes a lunch, classroom time, and track time on two different courses. It is limited to the first 50 people but they bump the experienced drivers for newbies. The guy teaching it is Jeff Cashmore. He has several national championship wins under his belt so he is very knowledgeable.
More info: http://www.scca-milwaukee.org/Solo/2007/07school.htm
There was an event on Sunday, April 29th this year and I can't imagine it would be much different for 08.
Just make sure all the wheels are tight (when you grab and shake them they don't make a ka-lunk noise), the battery is held down tightly, a Snell 95 (DOT is not good enough, it has to be SNELL) or newer helmet, sunblock, money for entrance, a lunch... if you read the above links they should cover everything.
Also, see if your boss wants to have the store sponsor an event. They are always looking for sponsors. Helps keep the program running and admission low.
nope no set date yet , its still way to early ,, but i will keep everybody informed to the fullest ,, an their makeing cruiseing illegal just about everywhere

yeah i was looking thru the rule book to an i cant say i understand either , my car is kinda stock , but kinda modified .. hmm not to sure if ill be doing it , but im still going to consider it ,,, an hey your more than welcome blackice , i know we got some more wisconsinites out their , COME ON GUYS , we need to overrun this car show with f-bodys ,,
an blue82 ive deffinetly have to see that 454 in your car,, sounds very awesome !!!!!
I was looking through the rule book, and I don't understand it one bit. What class would a 7.4l 82 camaro fit in?
You would be placed in Street Modified (SM) because of your engine swap and transmission. So basically, you would be up against full blown race cars. Since it would be your first time I wouldn't really try and be competitive, just focus on improving your times.
I would also love to see that car in action!! Just be light on the throttle coming out of turns or you may end up doing most of the course in reverse.

I think you would also be placed in STX because of your shift kit but I dont think they will say anything if you don't mention it. Based on the little info you provided of your Dad's car, I think it would be left in F-Stock... but then again, all I know is that it has 305 tbi.
beers on me firebird... i've since seen dave after we had our little delema (sp) and i must give him props because his shop was not like that the first time i saw him. Talk about a total 180.
But i'm down for a car show... or a Brewers game or something like that with all of the TGO WI boys
Superior, right next to the lake. Wife's got a 84 V6 and Im looking for an IROC with TTops to rebuild. Happy New Years and dont drink and drive you might spill your beer and hit a cop.
