Unless you think you can draw that large of a crowd? |

I know its gonna be tough but if it can be done, great! I don't really want to look at any more of the r1cers than I have to because there are more than enough at the school I go to.
The only advantage they have over us is weight!
Power wise... we'll kick their a55 anytime!
Domestic is the only way to go.

They also have a intro class in the beginning of the season so anyone that has no idea what to do could come then and also get some seat time. It's like $25-35 I think to race for the day. Its only on weekends, and it goes from 8am-5pm. I'll post again when it gets closer to the intro class.
I'm the only thirdgen there, and there are only 2 other f-bodies (4th gens). I think it would be pretty neat to all of a sudden have 6 thirdgens.
Just an idea though...

I was a newbie at the beginning of the year and I ended up 7th out of about 70 in my class racing my dads 4-door Dodge Dakota Sport. I didnt use my camaro till the last two races because... well... thats when I bought it. license delete.jpg DSC_5208.jpg 100_1146___1.jpg

Originally Posted by karrfirebird87 dude that sounds awesome to , me an my dad would do that , when does it start up , whats the requirements , | Drivers School was on Saturday, April 28th this year so I would think it would be sometime around then for 2008. It is $60 for the school, but it includes a lunch, classroom time, and track time on two different courses. It is limited to the first 50 people but they bump the experienced drivers for newbies. The guy teaching it is Jeff Cashmore. He has several national championship wins under his belt so he is very knowledgeable.
More info: http://www.scca-milwaukee.org/Solo/2007/07school.htm
There was an event on Sunday, April 29th this year and I can't imagine it would be much different for 08.
To find out what class your vehicle could be in: http://www.scca-milwaukee.org/Solo/2...rClass2007.pdf
Basic car classification worksheet: http://www.scca-milwaukee.org/Solo/c...sification.pdf
Info about the whole workings of the event and more: http://www.scca-milwaukee.org/Solo/soloinfo.html
Just make sure all the wheels are tight (when you grab and shake them they don't make a ka-lunk noise), the battery is held down tightly, a Snell 95 (DOT is not good enough, it has to be SNELL) or newer helmet, sunblock, money for entrance, a lunch... if you read the above links they should cover everything.
Also, see if your boss wants to have the store sponsor an event. They are always looking for sponsors. Helps keep the program running and admission low. |

Since it would be your first time I wouldn't really try and be competitive, just focus on improving your times.
I would also love to see that car in action!! Just be light on the throttle coming out of turns or you may end up doing most of the course in reverse.

Based on the little info you provided of your Dad's car, I think it would be left in F-Stock... but then again, all I know is that it has 305 tbi.
Just try and focus on this when you want to know what class your car will be in. http://www.scca-milwaukee.org/Solo/c...sification.pdf
