Its the Firebird at that title loan place next to Hardees in chillicothe. Anyone seen it? They dont have the keys so I cant get in it. But I offered them 300 for it, I wasnt worried about the keys. Their going to see what the junk man offers them first. They think they can get about 400 from the junk man. They told me metal was 290 a ton. I was just at Behr a couple a weeks ago and got about 210 a ton. Does that sound right to anyone else. Sounds a little high to me. Even if the junkman could get 400 at the scrap yard, their not going to give that much for it. They need to make a profit too.
Thats what I was thinking. I told them they might get around 150-200. Thats when she told that metal was 290 a ton. Their supposed to call me back today.
This is in Chillicothe, about 15 miles north of Peoria. I really don't know of any repo places. I just happened to notice this firebird had not moved for a long time so I went in and asked about it. I think all of the title loan stores will have repos though.
we had a vert camaro at a local loan place as well. I placed a bid and was told kinda the same. I looked at the car again and saw it reall was just a shell since every part had some sort of bad damage.
I saw the car still sitting there yesterday. The guy hasn't come up with money yet. I guess he is supposed to have it today. But the lady that works there doesn't think he'll have it. He's a friend of the original owner that couldn't pay the loan back in the first place. She told me if someone were to come in right now with 525 she would hand over the title. I was tempted but, I rad rather put the money into my 88.

sounds like they are yanking your chain and not really in a big hurry to sell it
There's supposed to be another guy looking at it. Hes a junkman but also collects older cars I guess. I'll see if its still there Tuesday. I'll offer them 300 again.
yeah sounds goofy that the "guy" hasn't came to pick it up yet or atleast explain why he hasn't. i'd stick with your plan and spend your money on your '88
I drove by yesterday and it was gone. I bet the junkman got it. Oh well, I got to many projects as it is. I got too many toys in the garage any way. And I got two garages!
