You mean Orca ? Or at least it sounds like the car I remember people talking about. I was a tech at Friendly Chevrolet for a while and stopped in one day to pick up some parts and saw one of the guys that has been workin there since I worked there trying to get a half white/half black IROC running.... I walked over and took a look at it, but it wouldn't run for crap and he couldn't get any ALDL data from it....

I wasn't a full fledged member of MNFBC back then.... What kind of car did your buddy race?

Anyways..... Yeah Mark, talk about back from the dead!!!

JHens, follow the link in my sig for the club's site and check out the maps for the meeting place. We hold the meetings on the second Saturday of each month at 6:00pm. We would love to have a member from your neck of the woods! Come check us out!

Matt

Matt, funny you said that, it was about two years ago when that hite/black iroc wouldnt run, i ended up installing a new computer in it, and it ran fine. he sold it last fall though to some kid in anoka, hope he takes care of it, it had TF 23* heads, and a TPIS MINIRAM, but i dont like TPIS, there cocky and there expensive, i was not impressed. i know too many bad stories about TPIS, but i wont start on that.

sennap1, Yes, the MNFBC's site at www.mnfbody.com is still up and running and we are definately alive and kicking . I really don't know what the problem could be. I will bring it up to the webmaster guys and see what they can come up with. Maybe send me a PM with more info on what ISP you are using and what exact type of error message(s) you are getting.

Well, hope you get it all sorted out,
Matt

I live in West Bloomington. I have an '87 Iroc-Z that I'm rebuilding, and I might need some help with it.

Hey, I live in Mahtomedi, right next to White Bear...I am surprised I have never seen your car around NEEDforSPEED. I definitly would have noticed if I ever saw you crusing. I have a black '92 RS with the LO3. Gonna get it painted this summer, when I bought it, it had a pretty bad rust problem. Any of you guys have leads on Parts Yards that have cars? I know Abco-Fridley has a black 87, but it is crap, nothing usable off it really. Oh, and Ace has a early 80s that is black too, just snagged the hood off it last week...damn deer. I still need a couple 91-92 specific parts, so if anyone knows if someone is parting one out, or has a parts car for sale cheap let me know.

I'm over in the White Bear area at times..... My buddy that I went to tech school with is a tech at the Superstore.... We do some cruisin around here and there. He has an 89 TTA. Awesome car, kinda fast . My car is pretty easy to spot with the 17" 5-spokes on a red GTA.... Not too many like that running around. I also frequent Gold's Gym in White Bear....

Well, prolly not gonna see much of each other in the winter (or at least not mine as it is hibernating ), but maybe I'll see some of you guys when the weather gets nice again. You guys should come check out one of our club meetings or events some time.

Laterzzzz,
Matt

yeah I would want nit just like the one in my pic above. prob looks like I am lazy not making it myself but with an infant and a 2 1/2 year old there would be no way I could build a model w/30 sec of peace. when I work on my real car I have to do it when I get home from work which is 12:30 am!!!!! sounds like I am defending myself but someone will say why not build it yourself. my answer is no time.

Yeah, thats my car you see...I have been home for the past month on break from school, but I am leaving tonight...err morning at 7am to go back so you won't see me for a while. The wheels are close to yours, but not quite, they are 12 hole not crosslaced. But from a distance they look about the same. Hopefully we will be able to get together this summer. I know my car will be down a couple weeks to get painted, but other than that it is cruise time!

You guys should check the MN F-body club out (there is a link in my sig, just click on "The Minnesota F-body Club"). We are an all F-body club so it isn't exclusive to thirdgens, but we all have a great time and do cruises and BBQs and whatnot throughout the year. We also have some relationships built up with some of the local businesses which are exclusive to club members . Check us out some time!

I went to Snowcross, it was sweet but not worth the $22.00 to get in. I would rather see it snow so I can go ride my Sled. Anyone here from the Northen metro (Blaine, Andover) area?

How many of you guys are going to Car Craft summer nationals? I just got a sign up sheet in the mail.

Also where do some of you guys hang out in the summer? I am down in the midway a lot, just trying to see where you guys hang out because me and my buddy's are trying to get a movie made this summer of a buch of F-Bodies (Racing at the track, Street Racing, Burn outs, ECT.) from Minnesota, and we would name it Minnesota Muscle, this would be for all F-Bodies not just thirdgens, just too show people what us minnesota guys do.

88IROC you say you got a sign up sheet already for the Car Craft show. what weekend will it be on this year???I haven't recieved a sign up sheet in the mail yet but when I get it I will def sign up again this year. several guys from mnfbody.com are getting together to sign upo as a group then you get in cheaper that way as well. I really can't wait for the show this year, I will be there all 3 days this year vs being there only on Sunday last year ugh. I have always gone on a sat but last year I was unable to get there sat so I went sun instead. I haven't missed this show for the last 12 years now!!! one great show.

I believe he is talking about line locks for the front brakes. Basicly it locks up the front brakes so that when you do burnouts your car doesn't move forwards.

and now for my bitching...My freakin dash cracked today. I went out to the car to make some measurements for the cupholders and I found one crack that goes all the way across on the passenger side, and a huge spider web one coming from the speaker holes that splits into 3 diffrent cracks.

ohh.. Transam84 I havent started that project yet cause I ran out of money real quick. I still need to--

Put all TPI stuff together
AFPR
Bigger injectors
Get front and rear bumper covers (91-92 front BC..I will take used if I have to)
Install my High Rise spoiler
new tail lights
new tires
install center consule
find and install power antenna
Line up fenders
find some headers (removed smog pump)
get it painted
put new decal set on
Exhaust system
And speedo

all needs to be done before June

I pit for a guy who races out at elko who owns his own body shop. I think he wants to charge me $1100+ to paint the car To much for me I'm lookin in the ball park of no more than $500 I know I need a good one but I cant afford it. Thats why if I can find somethin used I will take that over new anyday. I have alot to do with so little time and money. Will always trade stuff for parts if anyone is into BMX have a whole garage full of frames and parts that need to go
