Car: '95 TT Trans Am Engine: 383 LT1 Transmission: TH400 | St. Louis F-Body gathering
The Missouri F-Body Association is having their annual St. Louis gathering of F-Bodies in three weeks(09/28-09/30). Here's the schedule of events:
Friday September 28th: Meet at the Westport Hooters off of I-270 starting at 07:00 P.M. The committee has arranged for Hooters to reserve their patio area for our club members and to arrange a portion of their lot for our cars. They are also promoting this gathering at their restaurant/bar. We will be showing our cars to members and the general public. Needless to say food and beverages will be availible for purchase from Hooters.
Saturday September 29th: A large area and shelter has been reserved at McNair Park in St. Charles from 8:00 A.M. to 08:00 P.M. We shall arrange to meet all members from out of town at the Cave Springs Commutter Lot which is located off of I-70 at the top of the Cave Springs Exit. We will then lead you into the park. While at the park there will be plenty of time to detail your cars...we shall be showing the cars to members and any of the general public which may stop by. The members of the St. Louis Chapter are treating all members to a BBQ with side dishes and drinks (soft drinks will be supplied so should you need anything special you may have to make arrangements for those.). There shall be plenty of time for out of town members to check into their hotel rooms and come back to the party since we have the shelter for the entire day. Local members will be able to lead you to your motel and then back to the park. Saturday evening may lead to some pick up races here and there and possibly a short cruise through town to show off the cars and club to the public. Just a note that Dave & Buster's is within moments of the park in the event that some members should wish to go there for drinks and games.
Sunday September 30th: There will be a chance for a photo op with the St. Louis Arch and other landmarks in the background...on EARLY Sunday morning. This has to take place in downtown St. Louis and I will be happy to take the members there should they wish to take part in this photo op. We are planning on going to Mid America Raceway (MAR). The gates are supposed to open at 8:00 A.M. and racing should start at around 9:00 A.M. We may get together with some members later for brunch and then head out to the track. Those that are early risers may go on out to the track and we can meet up with them later. It may be possible to get some pizza's delivered to the track...which is something we may be able to check into.
