The mods over at CZ28 made a sticky for me in the lounge and it's getting quite a lot of attention. Check out the thread here.
I have also worked out a deal with Abubuca on this site to design a logo for the meet this year. He does excellent work so we worked something out. I am also thinking about doing t-shirts this year.
What do you guys recommend for food at the meet? Steak? Ribs? Chicken?
I'm in, last year my I had a great time. This year my car has an engine worth looking at, but I'll let you see it when I get there. by the way how does your brother like the 240 my buddy beau sold to him?

He loves it. What a coincidance that he was trying to sell it and that my bro was looking for one at the same time. He just bought a header for it 2 weeks ago and he wants his big brother to help him...yay.
Hope to see you at the meet, the turnout this year is going to be much better than last year and we can look forward to a little better planning by me.
And for everyone, I called MSM today and got info on the dyno and also called Broken Arrow T-Shirt Screenprinting company and got prices for t-shirts. If I do have them made, they will be $10 each.
Dyno charges are $500 for 8 hours worth of runs. He said that it takes 15 min for 1 pull. So we can get 4 cars done in 1 hour...so 32 cars total...which is only $15.63 for one pull. We may have the dyno on like a friday and the BBQ on saturday.....or the dyno day on saturday and the BBQ on sunday. Still have some things to figure out....:sigh:
The dyno may be a thing of the past if we don't get enough peeps interested. It seems like it would be a day long event and I don't want to cram everything together.
A giant cruise was also brought up. Just think, lots of f-bodies going around Des Moines...that would be so cool.
hey josh. i work across the street from broken arrow and would be willing to lend a hand with the t-shirt stuff. if you need something brought up there or whatever just let me know.

It is the 12th.
I updated the main Midwest F-Body Meet webpage...check it out:
Sweet Josh. I think I'll prepay the $10 and show up. ^_^
BTW, I read the directions, very clear and concise. I can imagine the route in my head with little difficulty, considering how easy it is to get to I-80 west.
Looking forward to it. And I'm looking forward to a trouble free year of F-body fun. No transmission issues for me this year!!!

Sweet...hope to see you there. Have I received a mailing list entry from you yet? If not go ahead and fill one out from the main page of the that site.
I just sent out the first mailing about an hour ago.
I'd like to get some ideas flowing about the dyno portion of the meet. Even if we do only plan on 2-3 hours, it's still very much worth the effort to set it up. We could do it first thing in the morning, be done by noon, and head to your house for the BBQ. Not everyone will enjoy the dyno pulls, so most likely it would be a smaller group there anyway...
I know in my post about the subject, we had about the right amount of people interested to be able to set it up...
If you do the dyno in the morning it is going to force anyone who isn't local to the area to either get up at 5am to drive or spend the night the day before. Might be an issue and it might not. Depends really on who is interested in the dyno but I thought I would throw it out there.

"Acording to your post, the entire world thinks one thing, and you think something different. This has happened to me before, when I was wrong. "
"I wash my car like it was my firstborn child, i tend to its needs like it was my own body, i protect it like it's family, then I drive it like I stole it."
Well if they want to dyno, then they will have to be here for it and that's all there is to it. I was planning on starting at like 8AM and hoping to get done around 1:30 or so. So far, out of the 63 cars that I have on my list, 23 want to dyno for sure, along with several maybes.
Even at 15 min per pull, thats only 4 people per hour. So if we start at 8AM and go until 1:30, then that's 22 people that we have done. I am thinking that when I do the entry form, the first 20 or so peeps that say they want to, will get to. Like a first come first serve thing.
Now that it is indeed on the 12th I may actually be able to go! That is, if the car is in one piece.... Should be. Not really interested in the dyno though...

First come, first serve is the only way to go.
Another idea: High interest clubs often "bid" on spots to show a profit for the club as well, highest 20 bidders "win" their spot with proceeds going to the club treasurer. Let's face it, these online clubs aren't cheap to operate!!! $$$ T-1's, servers, backups, archives, UPS's $$$
bnoon/ Im with you on the morning dyno pulls. get it done in the morning and head for the BBQ. as for the first come first serve ,I want on that entry form so let me know!
anything decided yet on the dyno pull or go-cart racing? Do you have a schedule of the days events sort of figured out yet or still trying to decide what all to do?
i'll see if i can get my bro and all of his friends with f-bodys to go. all of us would equal like 10 cars (i'm the only one with a 3rd gen) they all have 4th gens

joshp14, my wife and i were runing around Des moines and we drove down to norwalk to see where you live, wasnt hard to find. i was going to do a big smokey burnout in front of you house but my wife sead NO!
You should have done smokey out there, then you could have told me it was you
Pretty simple to find if you read the directions...sounds like you found it fine.
So far, the dynoing has not yet been confirmed yet. I am going to try to get a portable dyno set up in my driveway so we don't have to go anywhere. Go-karting is the same deal....still not sure if we will do it or not. I will know more after I get more interest in the go-karting.
You must have some pretty cool parents cause only in my dreams would mine let me do that, heck I can't keep one of my cars in there garage for any period of time without my dad complaining.

I might have to come out if i'm not busy that weekend! Now just gotta decide what to bring. I'll keep an eye on the boards as June gets closer.
Kevin, I sell tires for a living, So, should I bring an extra pair for ya? LOL

Yup. I got pricing on the dyno and it looks like it's going to be $1500 for 10 hours. He said we can do 3 cars per hour, at 2 pulls per car. So if we start at 8AM and go to 6PM, we can do 30 cars at 2 pulls each and it will run $50 per car.
This is a Mustang 250P wide band o2 dyno. That price includes, setup, travel time, etc, etc. More info can be found under the 'Plans for 04' link and also the 'FAQ' link at my site:
