Miscellaneous Third Gen Stuff! Brochures, models, prom burning stuff....post that here. This is a Classifieds forum, not a Miscellaneous discussion forum. All non-Classified postings here will be removed.
I have over 3000 (three thousand) car magazines dating back to the late 1960s. Hot Rod, Car Craft, Motor Trend, Super Chevy, Road & Track, Car and Driver, Popular Hot Rodding, and many other titles, along with several special edition car magazine/books.
The collection begins to taper off in the mid-1990s but there are several into the late1990s and this decade. All in very good condition.
And YES, there are MANY thirdgen articles.
(Ask Frankie Rider from GTA Sourcepage--he's seen these magazines in person)
And NO, I will not go through and cherry-pick a particular magazine or issues to find a specific article. Please don't ask.
If it is one of the major magazines, I most likely have that issue (98% of the time).
YOU MUST PICKUP THE ENTIRE COLLECTION. They weigh too much to even consider shipping them. You will need a good size truck or van to carry them. Lot of weight there.
$500 for the collection.
Pictures of the collection can be taken but individual issues will not be pulled for photos.
I live in South Central Kentucky about 80 miles from Nashville, Tennessee and 50 miles east of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Folks, it has come to my attention some of my replies have not been getting back to some of you.
If you have sent me a message, either by email or PM (private message) and I have not returned an answer, please let me know.
Apparently something is not working correctly on my end. I am certainly no computer expert, so, please, if you sent a message, and are awaiting a reply, please, please, contact me again at my regular email:
I could not make myself do this, but someone could take the new car ads out of these magazines, frame them, then sell them to folks with that kind of car.
From the late 1960s to mid 1990s, there are literally 1000s of new car ads in these magazines.
Then there are original articles that could be sold as a whole magazine.
If you were willing to sell specific issues, you'd be selling left & right. Myself? I'm looking for 4 or 5 specific issues, for a particular article. I lost my issues in the mail (probably here SOMEWHERE, but....so I've been on the hunt for new ones.

Good luck finding a buyer with $500 for magazines, plus shipping cost if not local.
Maybe a big car show vendor would be interested.

Well, considering that many just want to buy a few of your Magazines and not the whole lot, i would say, make some kind of deal, like 10 magazines for $20.00 or something, in the end you will be selling left and right. But just MO.

$500 for a lot of 3000+ magazines is MORE than a fair price. I understand why you're not willing to separate them. You'll get more money by separating them but it's definitely a hassle. I would take them in a heartbeat but you're too far away for me to pick them up. However, I will be in Tennessee for a wedding in early August and if you still have them then I may be interested. How much room would they take up in the back of a pick up truck?

In my closet, there are eleven stacks averaging about five foot high each.
I weighed 50 of the newer "Hot Rod" magazines the other day and they weighed between 22 and 23 pounds on my bathroom scales.
It looks like they weigh in the neighborhood of 1200 to 1500 pounds. They ARE heavy.
I live on the Kentucky/Tennessee border about 80 miles northeast of Nashville and about 50 miles east of Bowling Green, Kentucky (Corvette Museum and factory).
Okay, I guess I'll just wait and see if you still have them in August. I think the wedding is around Nashville and I don't know if we'll have time to go that far out of our way but I'll worry about it when the time comes. Thanks!!!
