I have a 3/4" MDF sub box built to fit in the hatch well of any thirdgen Camaro or Firebird. It holds two 10" subs in sealed separate chambers, and is loaded with polyfill.
The subs are a pair of green cone Infinity Kappas, model 100w.dvc. They are dual voice coil, each coil wired in series per sub for 8 ohms at each external connection. These should be wired in parallel to a 4 ohm mono amp capable of handling the four coils at 225W RMS each. This box is meant for a great SQ setup... I can't explain how happy I was with this setup in my old '84 Camaro... it hits hard and sounds great!
