which car should i get??

i found a 91 formie for sale for 1500 and all it needs is a spindle and a fender. its got a 305 TPI and t-tops. it is in great shape! i also found a 92 mitsubishi 3000gt sl for sale for 1500. it bent the valves. it comes with a 91 stealth. i am sooo undecided. i was gonna get the 3000gt this week (thats why my car info says i have a 3000gt) then i remembered 1.5 ago i found the formie when i was lookin for my t/a. i called them up and they still have it. moderators please dont lock this b/c i want some peoples opinion b/c i am soo confused on what to get for a daily driver.
plus i am not shure where to put this.

thanx
Jeremy

Kerry-

I manage the High Performance Division of a shop down here in CT. IMO, go with the formy, simply because of the ease of work on the car. While the 3000GT is a nice car, it can be a PITA to do basic work to. Additionally, if its not a VR4, its gonna be a dog.

Parts will most likely be more expensive, and basic work can become a PITA quickly.

We all know F-Bodies. Love them. Hate them. Love to hate them. Best bet IMO.

hey.I agree foreign cars cost more for parts. Especially sport cars. And if your getting a 3000gt/stealth for 1500 it prolly needs work. Is the stealth engine turbo? If you like firebirds mine as well go with it. Does the bird have a 350 in it? Are you gonna be swapping a 383 into it? Whats your plans?

Nate

no, the stealth doesn't have turbo nor the GT. sooner or later ill be swaping a 383 w/ an lt1 manifold into the trans am. the guy that i talked on the phone with said he would sell it for 1100 now and it needs front right fender, and that it had a 350 but idk if i belive that b/c it has t-tops and it doesnt have the crosslace gta rims like the 350 t-top formulas had. but ya never kno. ill be getting spohn sfc's and a hotchkis strut tower brace. im going to custom make a tubular torque arm like spohns' ans panhard bars, i'll put the gta rims i bought for my t/a on it, and mabe the digital dash i put in my t/a. a 4th gen console, mabe 3000gt seats if the guy will sell them(but ill have to make them fit somehow), the A/F ratio meter i made, b&m shift kit, b&m megashifter, flowmaster 80 series muffler w/ custom tips and a cutout where the cat goes, 91-91 t/a or gta tailights, polished plenum and runners or an lt1 instead, headers, momo steering wheel thats sittin in my room (mabe), window tint, KLH 6x9s' and make kenwood 6 1/2s' fit in the stock 4x6 location and hooked up to a 4 ch amp and a sony xplode deck (i've had it fot 1.75 years and i have not had any problems with it yet), 91-92 t/a foglights and switch panel, and a roof console, hmm..... i think thats it

but b4 i can get the formy i have to sell my rm 250 and my z-24.

well i sold my cavalier and i found a guy to buy my dirtbike and when i started it up for him it sounded sooo nice. then i got to thinkin and i figured i already got a t/a and as much as i would love to get the formy i just dont think i can afford the gas $$ and i want to race this season and i cant do that w/o a bike. and if i sold it it would b awile until i get another 1. so i think i will keep my bike and apologize to the guy for keepin it. and with the 900 i got from my cavi. i am goin to get my uncles 89' chrysler conquest for 500. it doesnt need a thing and it is wicked nice. it has been stored in his garage for 5 years. and it is a 4cyl so i can afford gas and its a 5spd which was the original reason i wanted to sell my cavi is to get a 5spd. eclipse for fuel economy. then i will have alil extra $$ left over for w/e. prob. the T/A. i change my mind alot on what i want to get for a daily driver. if anyone wants to buy the formy ill b glad to tell you where it is. also give me ure opinions on the conquest and starion.

Thanx
Jeremy
