I'm looking forward to putting the belt onto my super charger. The steps are: Over winter finish the exhaust, buy an Ostrich for tuning, fab up 2 new xmembers; 1 for the tranny and 1 for the torque arm, then come spring get it tuned, dyno run on the new setup, put the blower belt on, re-tune, re-dyno and go change my pants after I calm down from the excitement
All kidding aside, so here we are in a temp spot hopefully until we can get an actual site of some sort up and going.
Hello Quadgoat and welcome. I got your email and will include you in the emails I send out to the rest of the club. In regards to organizing people to meet if you look at the original thread that started all this (start at post #1) in the "Anyone interested in a CT thirdgen meet?" you'll see how it all transpired.
Well, back to work as I have to prep for some more travel. |

Sounds like you got some fun stuff to do over the winter.
I am planning mine out too. Looks like I am doing some exhaust work to clearance the body in 2 places. Also I am re doing my interior and making my wires neater. Then finally covering the 6 point. After that is all squared away. I want to make some custom panels out of fiberglass. Should be fun to learn how to use it.
After that, since all that will only last be about a month, the intake and cam are going in, as well as finally testing out my 200 shot on the dyno.
And it sounds really funny to say this, but I think thats it. (apart from the wetsand and hinge replacement)
Then just going to school and waiting till I get out to buy some turbos or something so I can join you guys in the "boosted" community.
Got to say though running N/A has taught me a lot and at a good pace. After the winter I will be ready to learn another can of worms. |

Car: 1991 Z28 1LE Engine: Supercharged 383 Transmission: TKO600 Axle/Gears: Strange 12 Bolt w/ 3.73 | Re: NECF Club Members / bystanders Inside Bull, no worries. If your in New England than your part of it. My hope would be is you get enough of an advance notice to any "event" the club organizes so you have a chance to make it to wherever that even takes place. A BIG one will be next years summer nat's in Worchester. I bet we "bring the love" to that one. There is going to be a minimum 4 cars with forced induction and high #'s to boot, then the rest of our well preserved and well underway rides. Should be a really good time.
If you'd like to be included just PM dennisbernal91z or myself and include an email address, location, short car stats like year, model, color, etc and your in. We're in the infancy of organizing this but we seem to have a good amount of interest and dennis and I are the 2 heads of the group so chances are things will continue to move along. |

Maybe every month or so we should trade lists to make sure we both have up to date master lists.
Once the website is up we will just have the master list there. |

I know so little about web site and hosting and stuff. I wish i could give more input. The $ is nothing practically.
I wouldn't even know how to start a website or how to make one.
I was hoping that someone else in the club would take care of this part. |

You just need a fast internet connection and an old PC with a good network card and a lot of storage. However, i have no idea how to get a forum up and running. |

I'll try to mess around with it in the next week or so and see what I can figure out. If I figure something out, we could use my site temporarily, it could be like necf.pontiacfanatic.com I know it's not ideal, but maybe it would get us by for a little bit?

Maybe this would work?
I think I can get a hold of a server. Would you guys prefer a *nix server or a windows one?
I can install either, once I find a usable machine. I actually have one in mind. (My weekend job is at a recycling center. Machines come in all the time) |

It's in process right now, but tomorrow should be up and running and able to be changed to whatever.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seems like it's up and running. any of the following link to the same place http://www.NECamaro-Firebird.org http://www.NECamaro-Firebird.net http://www.NECamaro-Firebird.com
Most variations on the NECF idea are taken, and they are all different sites. I put up a temp place holder, and I can try and put together something a little better this weekend. If some has the skills tools to build a website beyond a very basic one, feel free to let me know. Unfortunately my main computer decided it doesn't want to turn on anymore, so I have no graphics program. I had a few ideas I was kicking around.
If the domain name choice becomes an issue, it's easy enough to forward a different one at another time, and mask the host server domain( site space is hosted under the necamaro-firebird.org domain )

Does your server have provision for an SQL database so we can get a forum up and running? If so I bet we can have a preliminary setup using phpBB in a few days!
