tsup dudes!!!! got my freddy brown tranny finished up last night. also put in a pro torque 2200 stall converter.. i was doing holeshots last night in a parkinglot for a while, i had too, i left my sick wife a 9:00 to do it.. i knew i wouldnt be able to romp on it for a few days knowing about this herendous f****** wheather. anyways, hOOters was cool. we should def do it as a regular thing. meeting there with the cars in the spring would rock.. im really looking forward to the cruise night. i just hope my car will be done by then, dahm car, ive been working on it for 12 years now...lolol

too much,, about $1800 with everything.. but its warrantied and the last tranny ill ever have to buy for.. there also the best there is.

Yeah that is steep. Thankfully I do not need it yet. But if I do not bring down these gears I will shortly.
yeah 1800 with the converter...how much power can it handle, im gonna need one after i do the turbos cuz mine is gonna **** itself under that power...i already have a 3500 stall so i dont need a converter...and all the ones i have found were 2 grand and up....where is he located where you got your tranny done....

I wanna know the same stuff about the tranny, I am planning on installing my engine this weekend (inside a nice warm shop) and i wont be able to get on it cause i will blow the tranny...
I know i can buy the "best" parts to build the tranny for $750 and then have my old boss build it for me, but for the extra $1000 bucks i might consider never having to worry about breaking it. Although the parts on the inside are probably the same.

it was that with the converter. the company is freddy brown. do a web search for him. theyve been building trannys for 4oyrs or something. ive seen 1200hp prostock cars run his trannys. mine is a street/strip. mine was built to handle 500+hp and tq. but they underrate them. people have put 800+ to the same unit on the track no probs.. my mechanic builds 7/8 second outlaw cars. and he always uses his stuff..

yah...anyone kno anyone that has a tubing bender capable of bending up 3 inch pipes....gotta do some pipes for my turbo setup soon...jus askin ahead....

of course, on the road well be cruising, is everything you want. there is a pretty decent bar right were well be meeting up. and as for eats, pretty much anthing you want.
Gotta love LI . How about we get an idea of what we're doing, any routes that anyone wants to do, bars, restaurants, w/e u guys want, just do a lil thing up, include mileage and lets just take a vote on it.

also guys...think of a photo opportunity, overlooking a bay or something, probably with all the cars we're going to have, we'll need a big lot and then camera person be able to get a high up perch to take a shot to include all. Do a nice line up and do a 45* angle shot infront of a good view. All things to think of!!!

i say we meet up at a popular hot rod spot on the ave, roll out a few laps (there will be tons of other cars doing the same) mess around a bit, and take over a parking lot, then f** up some imports..
haha, i'm not going to F up a damn thing with my 305 but just remember...can't hit the bar scene too much, we got a couple underage rollin with us, unless we know the bar is chill.
Then again i'm going to a junk yard this weekend and hoping for an LS1 rear axle with decent gearage. We'll see!

idk about you redta, but my 305 luvs the stomp out imports of all shades.. stockish lt1's get surprised in a short run with me too.. thats pretty much what everyone does up there. short of the light runs. and short rolling runs.. ususally 16th up to an 1/8th kind a thing.. lots of mustangs and fourthgens up there too. and on a saturday night, some really nice classic muscle.
What is the deal with the crappy pictures. Get an account on photobucket and post us the links so we can see some real shots of the FB..
Lets keep in mind that we do have some underage with us and we take full responsiblity for them.... So they can watch us drink...

i had a camaro last summer all of for a weekend before with a worked carbed 305 hooked up to an auto, took it around the block and then parted out the car, lol. This is going to be my first 305 working completely on my own, i got it running to a T now, and hooked up to the T5 should be pretty sick compared to what i had, but i haven't driven V8 power in like 2-3 years and that was a Expedition (yuk, damn thing coudln't even power break), and since i haven't had this on the road "legally" i don't know the stats, i may have something worth holding onto the door handles for :-p Time will tell.

Ok, I'm "underage" but I get into and go to bars all the time no problem so dont worry about me getting in. Plus most bars are 18+ enter 21+ drink...
I am willing to make a test run of the "route" to figure out mileage and stops. Anyone else want to do this with me let me know.

lets get it crackin then...the weather just been suckin im tryin to get my rear done already..il clean it this week...paint it next week...hopefully get my ls1 tank from sumwhere....anyone kno anyone with a ls1 tank....so in about a month...the rear should be done with subframes....then at least another month for the tubular front suspension.......i donno if im gonna have enought time to do the turbos for the criuse....but ill sure damn try...
up in binghamton, i'm checking it out tomorrow. not sure if statement was true but will check back. how much do you want for that LT1? Full time college student so i don't know if i can make your pocket that happy.
