"Raceway Park", Day One, Who's Up To Bonk Heads With Some Grand National's....?

Alright my Third Generation bretheren, who's up to bonk heads with some local Grand National guys, along with whatever Imports that decide to show up? If the weather is right, gonna try and make it there day one, March 1st (click here for March schedule). Will be bringing the video camera as well, so it will be cool to have a few members here (aside from me) showcasing their rides, while stomping on some Turbo Buicks (hehe), anyone else down, or is it still a little too cold for some of you biatches.... j/k

Doesn't matter what you run in the 1/4, you'll be evenly matched....

Make sure your batteries are charged on that video camera! Try not to cut out the parts where the Turbo Buicks are doing the bonking! hehehe

I wish I could schedule my vacation to see it. I may yet...

That is an awesome video. 4th gens are killed, and the head to head GN race sent a chill down my spine! Of course, I like that the mustang kill was left for the end. A fitting end to a wonderful video!

There is certainly something in the water in NJ. I have never seen so many Turbo Buicks in one place. I went for a visit back in 96 and I just couldn't believe it!

Speaking of turbo 3.8s, why doesn't your '91 Formula have one under the hood? You'd be in GOOD company near Raceway Park, wouldn't you?

Re: "Raceway Park", Day One, Who's Up To Bonk Heads With Some Grand National's....?

Unfortunately yeah, the ZO6 has to go. Property taxes killed me this year, and although I wanted to keep the car, I just can't/couldn't. There will be others, hopefully. The new ZR1 looks pretty interesting, but will definitely have to wait for the sales price to go down, just a tad lol....

Field trip sounds like a great idea! It'd be a good way for everyone to meet, and know what and who to expect come July. Can get some video of everyone messing around in the pits, as well as the track, and throw it up on youtube for some of the out of town member's to see. I'm hoping some of you guys are really down to run, as I was going to do the same thing over on LS1.com last year, but everyone pretty much punked out in the end...

The good thing is that there will always be other cars! (It's better not to have a car payment, anyway...)

I can't wait to see the video. I'll be making a trip to NJ one of these days for the GS/GN nationals. Wish I was going as soon as you guys are going to have fun, that's for sure!

That sucks about the vette... I use to live on the island so I know all too much about high property taxes.

I would love to make the trip, however until I either lower the gears or beef uo the engine to match the gears I am restricted to short trips.

i can bring my 924S and my almost stock l69, i think i may get stomped but its always fun. I do love all the fast cars that always show up to englishtown events. More than once ive seen a 10 sec ford festiva. Not sure what was in it, but it goes pretty good for a fwd haha. so who is actually going?

^ It's really going to depend on the weather. If it is anything like it was today, it'll probably be closed, because it was freezing out today. I'd like to see that 924S being taken down the track, that would be cool. Here's a video from last year of a Porsche that was actually converted from AWD, to RWD, blasting down the track over at Englishtown, Click Here....

^ Yup, they were closed for the day. They are open tomorrow though, so if anyone wants to come down an run, by all means, come on down (supposed to be pretty nice too)....
