Ohio Junkyard for LQ4/T56 Swap??? - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of getting information for an LQ4/T56 swap. I am looking for a junkyard in Ohio that has a good selection of vehicles with compatible T56 transmissions, and all I seem to be finding are yards telling me one or both of the following:

A. The transmission is broken, but we'll let you have it for $1,000.
B. The transmission works fine with 60,000 miles, you can have it for $2,000 (or as high as $4,000 for the transmission ONLY!)

According to my www.car-parts.com search, it seems like all the yards with just what I'm looking for are over 400 miles away, which is way too far for me to drive (my friend is helping me with moving stuff in his truck, and he can't drive too far away.)

Does anyone have any suggestions for junkyards in Ohio that would fit my needs? Thanks a lot

there is a real good junkyard for stuff like that in dover ohio, don't remember the name.

not sure how far you are from MT. Pleasant, PA but my local shop/junkyard has all GM products.. MANY lsx engines and trannies. Hell they may beable to ship one out to yah
