I'd much rather be stroked first... then blown. Wouldn't you?
I wonder if anyone's gonna get excited and break stuff.
ive been known to break and get sent down return road now and then, hell this season alone i think ive made more trips down return road then the gawd dam track
hopefully the days of blowing up radiators and pushing freeze out plugs out of the block is behind me nowlol now i just gota worry about keeping the rotating assebly inside the block with the massive amount of boost im running now lol
[quote=Batass;3846760]I cant wait to hear and see that thing put some gto's to shame![/quote/
the only real runs ive goten out of the car were with my daughters mom driving, and u can ask rob she cannot drive at all.shes had the car to 9 psi but her best run was 14.0 @99.79 on 6psi and letting off just after the 1,000 ft mark.between me and her theres a full second et difference with nothing else in the car changed. her 14,0 was on the itty bitty turbo.
here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UC6o5YRh0k
and here http://videos.streetfire.net/video/t...r-2_162838.htm
that turbo was good for about mid 12's
now the cars got that 74mm turbo and upto 23 psi and im driving ppl are telling me im moving enough air with that 74mm unit to break 9's but i highly doubt it. I'll be happy with some 10.50's.this friday or sunday will be the first track outting on the new turbo i just hope the 9inch slicks i have are enough tire
The rears can take a decent amount of power on the auto cars the 6 speed cars seem to brake them more offten. I think they are stronger then the 10 bolts in the f-body
As for the cowl hood it works really well dropped the under hood temps about 10 degrees, and for some reason it looks really big in pics but when you see it in person is goes pretty well with the car, but then again most of you guys will only see the taillights
it will get out of the parking lot, im more worried about the rotating assembly deciding to make an exit out the bottom of the oil pan.noone has even pushed one of these motors this hard.kinda wish i had a main girdle and 4 bolt mains.
lol im sure the ls1 would hang near enough to get some video, besdies my camera has a zoom feature :P i highly doubt ill get any kindof traction out on the street tires though
kinda be like that 4 door civic thats always at the track spin the entire track and run 12.5 @ 13x.xx roflmao
^ Bring it over on Route 9 tonight, gimme a call on my cell when your ready....
was thinking more of rt 18 out past the rt520 exit lot less cops and ALOT LESS TRAFFIC. that and theres that 2.5 mile straight stretch of rt 18 that they just repaved. im still trying to borrow somone radar/laser dectector for tongiht. but wither way deff heading out.
hey street, will there be any 12.xx gto's there? if so, maybe ill try and come out and run.
Ohh without a doubt. But even so, always remember, high 11 second cars are predominantly 12 second cars due to inexperienced drivers, and or strange things that just always seem to happen. I mean, there are people who are undoubtedly always consistent, but these are the bracket racers. The slightest hiccup can cause a completely thrown off ET. I've seen, and Dave can confirm, C6-ZO6's there running 13's all day long, this is of course because of the driver. I'm suspecting that aside from Al, Frank and a few others, the majority of the people going on their side will not launch properly....

lol if my daughters mom drives u guys better be awake at the tree, her last few outings were like .007 .010 .001 .014 r/t on the footbrake.now only if i could teach her to drive as good as she cuts a light
^ Are you sure you want the B&M Shifter then, it will completely throw off her game....
yeah she knows how to use it,not that she would when she drives i have her put it in 2nd for the burnout and then i have her leave it in 3rd for the run.
ive tried having her shift the car but shes so late on the shift light i can set it to 6k rpms and she wont make the shift till 7k+, and i dont want her reving the motor that high, she dosent have the ear to pay attention to the sound of the motor to see if anythings going wrong. with the gear lever in drive it auto shifts at about 6,400
that supposed to be a "muscle car"??? pretty weak looking.. i wonder if on star tells them when they loose a race to a thirdgen.
If you only paid attention GTO's dont have on star LOL!!!

Lemme know if any of you NJ 3rd Genners are headed over to Raceway Park this coming Saturday. Going down there w/my cousin who is racing his Corvette, and I figured it'd be a good day to check out our GTO competition who are apparently running that day. I'll try to sqeeze them in on my video camera, to let you PA guys see what we're up against, before-hand....
