"Judgement Day", GTO vs F-Body Shootout @ Englishtown Raceway Park....
GTO vs F-Body
Actual day of the race is still yet to be determined, but we're shooting for sometime in September (maybe October). This should give everyone plenty of time to schedule, as well as prepare for it. Everyone is apart of the event, and everyone has some say in what they would like to see. Obviously we'll be running heads up, but broken down by index. Can't stop either side from playing possom with each other, and saying they run 11's when it's really 10's, but hey, this isn't Pinks, so run what ya brung, and expect the unexpected! No rules here, it's all about the competition, as well as the fun....
Our opponents go by the name "GONE" (keep the trash talking in check please)....
The day will be filmed, edited & uploaded, so be to sure represent 3rd Gen's honorably...
Now, with that said, WHO'S COMING TO THROW DOWN WITH US.....!

nice i see 2 turbo 3rdgens and a supercharged on in that list, ya should invite the buick boys out
Was going to, but I was telling the GTO guys that it might be too many cars then. They have upwards of 20+ GTO's that'll more than likely show. Worst case scenario, I'll invite the TTA guys from the Buick boards to come and represent. Shawn will no doubt have to run your car. By the way, he's looking at an '88 GTA w/LS1 swap, he might have even purchased by now....

Was going to save it for the Power Adder forum, but I'll be running a T-88, and selling the T-76. Batass was telling me he still has some tuning issues to address, and Orr89RocZ is almost dialed in already. He recently ran this, Click Here, naturally aspirated on a rough tune. Should be a solid low 11 second car, maybe even 10 seconds if he can drop some additional weight off of the car....

I just sent Gooman a PM to see if the NYThirdGen crew wants a piece of the action. I'll touch base with a few of the 3rd gen regulars over at e-town this Friday night Dave, as I'm sure they'll be down. I forget the guys name, but I'm sure the owner of that Yellow Camaro will run. You can see his car in the lanes in this video @ 1:02, when that Porsche ran, Click Here.

Wow englishtown is a long way out for me lol. depending on the day of the event will determine if i can make it. thats a solid 6 hrs to get there possible more
I cant take vacation days at work yet since i dont have any to take yet. Plus i'll need to get that 12 bolt in by then so i dont risk breaking down there
Let us know when this will happen I am sure i can get a few GTO's together
It is you LOL! I would have never guessed if I hadn't read how your wife drove your Iroc down the strip and got addicted. Didn't know you posted here, however, since your one of us, you can't race against us LOL....

I know, this is why we're trying to hold it for sometime in September/October, so everyone can get ready way in advance. I definitely don't want you to risk breaking anything whatsoever, so hopefully you can get that 12 bolt in there....

Its about 6.5 hours for me. Highly doubt I will be able to make it...but if my car were running I would have no problem with a road trip. Just kinda ticked off that shes not done But I guess you'll have that with your first build.
If there is anything like this going on next summer...You will defiantly see me there.

says 5 hours 46 min...but time i stop for gas 10 times along the way, it will be more like 6.5 hours...plus food eating time
i'd have to plan for a weekend date like saturday, drive down friday night, stay over, race saturday, stay over night again hopefully and drive home sunday.
if its a sunday it will be a rough day at work the next day but oh well racing is more important
It'll more than likely be on a Saturday, that seems to be the best day for everyone. Track opens at around 9:00am, and closes around 4-5:00pm (been awhile since I ran on a Saturday myself). There's a lot of members in the area, so you'll be fine if something were to happen to the car....
It usually takes us the same amount of time when we go to Cecil County Raceway, give or take, depending on traffic. Cannot stress this enough, if your able to make it, do not rush, I mean, they're only GTO's for crying out loud, low 13 second cars at best lol....

I'm going to talk to the GTO members when we go on that Seaside run, and try to come to a decision for the best possible day in which we can do this....

im down....if you can get me past tech in e town...and might be runin the turbos by then
Gonna try, but it's not necessarily tech, it's the window. Just before you get to the burnout box they look over your car from above. I was telling Glen that we could get away with it if you temporarily put the door handles back on with special adhesive in which will come off afterward with water, so it won't harm your paint. That will definitely work. Either that, or use cardboard cutouts, and paint them black (it'll work, if done right)....

No way. Your planting that power really well, and your reaction time is on the money! I'm honestly afraid that everyone else will either break loose, or red light. There's no doubt that you'll have one of the quicker ET's of the day on our side....
