I'm also in Groton. I haven't seen that 'vert around though. It looks good.
You work on base? I've seen a few Camaro verts around town and two or three t-top/hard top cars, but havent met any of the owners. You'll probably see my car around town more often now that the weather is getting nicer. It's changed a bit since the pic I posted. Here's a couple recent pics.
I work on base. I work at SLC, the first building right inside the main gate.
I only drive my car when it is nice out, a dark blue t-top car. Mine is not nearly as nice (4 kids = scratches and dings).

I'm in Groton for now. I have the blue 86 t-top bird that need a new driver rear quarter. I'll fix that when I get to Kings Bay in July/August. Right now it's my only car, so can't get it fixed yet requires too much time with out transportation.
It seems like I see a new thirdgen every week around here! If anyone in the Groton/SE Connecticut area wants to meet up just say the word. I'm interested in looking at your cars, sharing stories, and having drinks. I believe I've seen at around 8 different thirdgens on the SUBASE alone!
Portland here just back from college (for those of you who don't know where that is which i can imagine is everyone its near middletown lol). Ive got 2 camaros i still actively drive a black 86 T/A and a loud black with red stripes 83 camaro. For those around my area you've probably seen me around at some point as there my daily drivers some since high school (not the T/A that was a recent buy and a red 85 t-top camaro that i drove around in high school that unfortunately has seen its last mile 2 years ago).
Yea im surprised it seems like there's a lot of us around in CT. Even in my area there are a few third gens floating around. Haven't met any of the owners though. Although there's enough of us around to warrant having a get together in CT before the summers over.
We have had a number of gatherings in CT and RI. You should check out www.necamaro-firebird.org to meet up with the 3rd gen group in NewEngland. I was planning a BBQ at my place in Enfield on the 29th of this month but for right now its tentative due to a change of plans. I'll know for sure this week. That'd be a great opputunity for you to meet a good amount of CT,MA and RI people.
