BOTTLEDZ8, now that I know you're in the NECF area, goto www.necamaro-firebird.org and look me up. There you'll see where I'm going to be and you can check out my hood work first hand.
Former Camaro owner twice over (84 and 89) up here in Lowell. Been to Epping once, but only had the lowly GTP to play with.

Just over the MA line in Manville, RI. Haven't seen much as far as 3rd gens around here lately.
I've just said that same thing to a buddy the other day. Wonder if the salt and sand has anything to do with it.I used to see a ton of these cars around years ago.
You gotta love the New England weather and its affect on any car that's more than 2 years old. Both of my cars were a bit rough on the underside by the time I got them. Unfortunately, both have gone to the great junkyard in the sky by now due to various reasons.
Do the Prius treehuggers give you crap about your polar bear killer
LOL, not yet...it hasn't left the garage since I got it about a month ago. I'm sure I'll hear it once it's on the road though....lord knows I did with my last one.

glad to see someone else from the western mass area
one more thing what happened to the stock white taillights?
I took them off along with the spoiler, I think it looks much better this way, It was just to much white and now mine doesn't look like the 1499 other 15th anniversary T/A's, I still have all the parts to put it back.

I agree there is nothing wrong with a personal touch or any mods that makes your day. my 1983 Daytona 500 looks better with American
Racing ARE's and a trailer hitch.
Is your driver's side recaro seat power?
How does your louvers attach and where did you get those headlight covers?

No my drivers seat is not power.
The louvers I had to modify so they would fit with the 85 wing, The hatch is very heavy with the louvers and wing, The headlight covers I bought back in 84 before I even had the car. I don't think the are available anymore.

Another MassMan here. I'm moving up and over to Pepperell, (represent 1A Tony!), and after looking at these last few pages, I'z gotz some comments.
KITT1983, why does your '83 look so much like an '84? Like, everything about it screams '84 to me. I don't closely follow the submodels, (Daytona, Anniv, etc.) so maybe I'm just ignorant, but I'm surprised to see the similarities.
shota15, your car is frigg'n gorgeous. Breath-taking in fact. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you just rolled it out of the showroom. If I had that thing, I'd sleep in it. Kudos.
And to both of you guys, love the Recaro seats. Those are great. I saw a pair in an '83 in a junkyard down on the cape last summer, but spent all my cash on other things. When I went back about a month or so later, they had CRUSHED all F-Bodies older than '87. I checked every VIN. It's ok though because I still love my PMDs.
Rduffy123, I grew up in Marion, MA. Nice to see the tri-town representing on here. Did you go to ORR or Old Colony? What year did you graduate, (if you're not still in school)? Class of '96 here.

Well, enough outta me, here's my '82 T/A...
only the 1983 Daytona 500 Edition had the 1984 aero ground effects package in 1983 it is not a very well fact
New Bedford... Now I'm craving a linguica pizza again!! (Cafe Roma)
Dot Rat moved to Carver (Old Colony '79) now in Leominster.
Tried the snow thing the first year with GoodYear M&S 150 mph snow tires...waste of money. Bought a Delta 88 for winters.

Hanson MA. senior in High School. should be getting my seccond third gen this weekend and im psyched! 1983 firebird TBI V8. its a bit of an upgrade from my 1986 V6 camaro
Danvers, Ma here, do you guys meet up at all? Im a sophomore in college at SSC and need something to do on the weekends lol, there are about as many car guys here as there are republican professors.
Yep, daily driver for 22 winters. Put four studded snow tires on it, and weights in the rear trunk well, and it actually will get good traction. I passed some front wheel drive cars that were stuck last winter. Yeah!
The 4 studded tires are the key. Without them, forget it. No chance.
