Im from the Batavia, NY area. Which is right in between Rochester and Buffalo...there is a thruway exit in Batavia. I just started attending a local cruise night which meets every Tuesday night from 6pm to 8pm, depeding on weather of course. So far its a small cruise night, usually about 20 or so cars come each time. EVERYONE was checking out my car at the cruise...its not like its a show car or anything but its cause its a thirdgen...not alot of people have thirdgens in the Batavia area, espically not nice looking ones. Im looking to get some more third gens to come. Also would like to get a club going here. Due to my job I have ALOT of contacts in this area, we could have access to large parking lots, i have an open lot that is mowed and taking care of that could easily park 40 cars. I do live in a small village outside of Batavia but this could be a good meeting spot for the club on nice weekends or something...maybe all park on the lot show off our new stuff, have a nice cook out and a few drinks....anyone intrested in either one of these? I havent gotten to involved into making a club yet but id love to make a local club here in Batavia as we dont currently have one AT ALL! Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions...

I would like to start a 3rd gen cruise night even if it is just once a month. I think Batavia might be a good spot since it is halfway between Rochester and Buffalo. I would like to meet other third geners in the area and talk about their cars and upgrades. Let's set up a place and time. Maybe over the next few weeks more people will show up if it is started. We have to start somewhere right?
Check out the above post. My last comment is about Camaro vs Mustang grudge match at Lancaster Speedway in August. They have a 1/8th mile drag strip where you can race people every Wednesday night.
Finally someone responded!...i was gettin worried for awhile there...haha...and yes we do need to start somewhere...i am a young man at only 19yrs old...but have alot of contacts in the Batavia area...im a salesman at a highly well known and trusted local industrial supply store. Ive been trying to get something going here. I was looking at just gettin some more third gens to come to the local cruise night that is every tuesday night...recently weather hasnt been that good tho so i understand that. I would love to set up a third gen only cruise night but i wont bother wasting my time until its proven that people will indeed show up regularly. If things progress I am very willing to set up a local club...get clothing going, a website possibly, cookouts, legal drag races, so on, you know all the club activities. I have the resoures and knowledge i just need some people that are willing to participate.
ok well this obviously got overlooked...i know there has to be ppl that want to do car cruises and such together...like ive said every tuesday night from 6 to 8 there is one in batavia, ny. This is perfectly between rochester and buffalo...I am going TONIGHT as the weather is nice. Hopefully some more third gens will come as I am the ONLY one ever!
I will also like to let everyone know there is a SUPER CRUISE on july 19th, 2009. That is this SUNDAY! Its from 1pm-5pm at the Genesee Community College parking lot. There will be food, icecream, music and lots of cars. The event has died off a lil over the years because of construction on main street of batavia. It used to meet on main street and surrounding side streets. It was always an amazing show. It has since been picking back up and getting bigger. All cars are welcome! There will be door prizes also(doesnt state for how many cars tho).
I have other events coming up locally...next two big shows i will be posting soon. Both are comming up in August. Hopefully some people are intrested and will come to this great events!
Unfortunetly I cannot attend this weekend. Sounds like a good event. Two Sundays from now (7/26) is the Marilla car show. It's is right down the road form me and I gone haven't yet. I think we should set up a date in August and maybe one in September where thirdgens from Buffalo and Rochester areas can meet up. This would give everybody time ahead to plan. We can start small this year with a few meets and then grow it over time. Maybe we can start by crashing your local cruise night. Depending on how many people want to go we can adjust as needed.
Dude my paint is bad too...i have lil nicks and a lil bit of rust on the back graphics corners that is starting to bubble the paint. Here in new york my car is considered a cruiser car...its not show quality but it will definitely turn heads.
Id love for more people to come to my local cruise night...im right between rochester and buffalo with an thruway exit right here in batavia. Its half way for everyone.
