Anyone use a Car Jacket for Winter Storage

I was wondering in anyone heard of or uses a Car Jacket Car cover to store there Firebird/Camaro over the winter ????

This is the type where you lay down the cover, center the car over the cover and zip her up and you done.

Any advice would be great especially if you use one.

Thanks
Rob

Re: Anyone use a Car Jacket for Winter Storage

I use one, i got mine a few years ago. mine is called a car pocket though. you unfold it drive the car on top of it, then put the car cover on, then flip the other half over the car and zip it. its made of material like what a tarp is made of. real heavy duty. They recommend putting a car cover on first before covering it up with the car pocket. i have had my car in the garage for 5 months with that car pocket and when i unzip it, its as clean as it was when i put it in there.

here is the site where they have them. http://www.budgecarcovers.com/Car-Po...le-Pocket.html

Re: Anyone use a Car Jacket for Winter Storage

Sounds like a great idea. My only concern would be mice. Not sure if thats an issue where you are, but that thing would be the taj mahal for mice here in VT. I have something similar to thta cover for my camper. I would use lots of the little poison pellets. They work well and the poison makes the mice want to come out rather than dying in the trap and smelling up your car. In the cover, they would probably die out side the car, but inside the cover, so might be a little smelly when you unzip in the spring.

I see what you mean about the mice, that would really suck if some rodents did die in there. but luckily i dont have to deal with that. I usually inspect the bag before i open it up to make sure. been lucky so far i guess.
