Car: 1989 Firebird Formula 350 TPI Engine: 5.7 350 TPI | Snow travels | Just wondering if anyone here drives there "thirdgen" through all the snow and crap thoughout the winter. I have done it the past couple of years with various Firebirds. Luckily I lived only 5 minutes from my job and there wasnt any hills or anything to really worry about. Mostly flat land and it was a straight shot down the road. This year Im concerned. I recently moved to a different area. Near BearMountain and have a new job. My drive to work now consists of winding roads and some big hills. I bought a SUV at the end of last year to avoid having to use my Firebird this winter and so that I could park the Firebird so I can start my resto project. Unfortunately the SUV died and I no longer have it forcing me to bring the bird back on the road. I drive about 25 minutes each way to work. Another annoying situation is that where I live its a very very steep hill just to get out on to the road. Any tips and advice here is greatly appreciated from anyone with experience. so far I've heard that sandbags and stuff might help. Driving in lower gears. Thanks. | | | |
