I never even knew there was street racing in Alliance. I wish, that would be sweet. Honestly, I have never heard of street racing in Alliance. What do you know about it?
right in between leavittsburg, braceville, garretsville, windham, bristol. A pretty dead area if you ask me. hardly no action around here except what goes on at the nelson raceway.
I would be up for an Ohio Third-gen get together. I plan on having the big dent I put in my car out by then, but my cash flow always seems to be going in the wrong direction.
Or we could set up something on our own as I know I will be so busy in June with major carshows....speaking of which, I may want to post a show coming up outside of Pittsburgh. Maybe some of us could meet there...

It was great being in the newspaper. Thanks Rob for letting know about. I think a Ohio thirdgen get together would be something that should be done. How many Ohio thirdgen owners are also members of NEOCC? They have a great camaro show every year in the fall with all model years represented (1967 to 2002). This might be one place to meet.

I'm not sure what June is looking like for me, yet.
I'm trying to get the engine built in time to drive out to Dan Burk's modfest (see the midwest board for details). Otherwise, I'm game for any cruise within 2.5-3 hours away from me.
Can someone point me some info about the NEOCC? I'd be interested in reading up about it, and possibly meeting some Ohio thirdgenners at one of the cruises.
I've been a member for three years now. Their meetings are based in Kent so the drive is the only drawback to the club. I usually make at least half of them in a year. They organize cruises in and around the area and have their own carshow, Fall Classic, which draws over a 100 cars in September. A great group of people IMO.
Brunswick always has a good crowd of people and there's something for everyone. We've been trying for a few weeks now. The weather hasn't been the best but a few brave souls have been out there. Most pull in between 4 and 5 PM. Check the midwest forum on 3rdgen to see who's going where http://www.3rdgen.org/bb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=18 Remember with 3rdgen, you must be registered to view the boards...I think
Yeah, GK requires that members be registered and signed in to the site in order to view topics. I don't blame him, you've seen some of the stuff that goes on
Anyway, I start assembling the shortblock this weekend. Also going to drop my heads off to have them looked at, then if they're good to be used, then I'll get them rebuilt.
After that, bolts, gaskets, a distributor, water pump, and an intake, I might just get this car running
My1st.... Once I get the Camaro running, I'll register with NEOCC
I really want to get more involved in some of the car shows now that hopefully Ill get my hours changed at work to daytime (as opposed to workin the afternoon to night shift) and the freakin RS might get some balls. It'd be nice to cruise around in a low 14 / high 13 second RS Plus all my other freakin friends are gettin their cars fast and ready for shows, along with pops, so it looks to be a good summer.
Are you guys going to that NE Thirdgen picnic thing? Do you have to belong to a club or anything, or just show up?
OHH yea, anyone run at Norwalk? Im usually there ever wed night...
Yeah, I hear ya Chuck. The weather hasn't been the greatest for cruises yet but it has afforded some nice days for at least driving around. Once the warm temps return I'm sure things will pick up. And cruising with a 13-14 sec RS would be fun, a sleeper indeed. Hope to meet up with as many of you as possible.
As for the NE3 gathering, letting Chuck Everly know you're coming would help him keep track of numbers to expect. No need to be a member, just have a love for the f-body.
Robertg, sounds like a plan and hope it comes your way with the installs.
The "Cruisin Times" is a paper that carries all the info for the cruises and shows in and around the area but its availability is sparse. Their website is down too so going over the different forums at the different sites is about the only way to keep track of the various locations people are meeting up at.
That sucks, I gotta work that night. I'll stop up there around 2-3

Bummer. I'm way up here in NW Ohio near a town called (don't laugh, we're not ALL a bunch of *******s) Hicksville. Seems that most of you are several hours east or south of me. That's OK, I like roadtrips, and I'd better, because I know of nothing ThirdGen oriented around here. Still, it's good to know that all of you are out there, maybe I can make it to some of your events...
