Car: 87 Trans Am GTA Engine: built 355 Transmission: 700R4 | Thompson Drag Raceway opens up in early April. Anybody from northeast ohio wanna go to test and tune when it opens? I think it's 10 bucks to get in and run, might be 15. And for all you people that have heard about the hill at the finish line, it's not there anymore. They redid most of the track the past 2 winters.

Any of you guys ready to waste some ricers at thompson or quaker with me? Gonna run a couple weeks with my mostly normal setup then i'm gonna switch to some lovely mods and hope to go 12's. |

Tell you what, I'm probably what you would consider an old fart...so I don't get to hang out a whole lot, but you know how to contact me. Maybe one of these days we can figure something out. I don't even have my car out yet this year, but maybe soon PM me some time as the weather gets a little better; it'll be cool to meet up with some other thirdgenners from the area. |

Car: '91 RS Engine: LO3, For now... Transmission: 700R4 | We are roughly 3-1/2 hours west of you in the very northwest corner of the state. It would be a pretty full day to go there and back, not that it isn't doable.
And Norwalk looks at least as well run as I pictured it. I've said in the past that Norwalk was a little too far for me, but maybe on the right day... |

I might go to ThirdGen Nats '04 or Midwest Gathering '04, I'm keeping my options open for now. Thirdgen Fest is out because I have a running commitment on Memorial Day weekend for the forseeable future. |

Car: 88 ramair grey camaro Engine: 388 stroker Transmission: th350 | ok winter is about to brake and guess what guys!!! that means two things...1 are cars are ready to get the dust blown off them and 2 the race track opens.... now here is what the problem is... im tierd of hearing all the talk about the people wanting to start meats but it never happens.... i want this to work out this year.. on the second page of this ohio post there is people from all over the ohio area wanting to meet up.... now how hard is a little drive to the drag track i mean come on ... now one of the biggest drag tracks in ohio is norwalk race way.. sounds like a good place to meet to me.... norwalk has a HUGE i mean HUGE pit area "this is a great place to barbaque too" i would love to set somthin up.. you dont evon have to race just go.... i would like to get to meet some of you in person and check out cars... now the 2 days the track is open to the public to race is woopAss wensday and test and tune friday.... fridays are cool cause you can pick and choose who you race theres no dail in and if you loose you can still race.. but there is no winnings and its just that test and tune.. wensdays is dail in racing wich is fun but like i said you loose your stuck on the bench watching... so i thought the friday racing would be better considering we will probley have alot of bigginers and it is always fun to get to race your buddie... if you email me tomster03@aol.com id be glad to give you more info on it i already made this a LONG post and people are going to get bored readying it.... track cost last year were $10 to race or watch they might be $12 this year.. and i really dont think that is a bad price for the quality of the track... i might be able to talk to the race way if we get enough people to evon have somthing organized for us.... please right me..... i want to get somethin set up for us thanx ~tom

Car: 92 Anniv Ed Engine: LO3 Transmission: 5 speed | Yep, we go through this every year and every year nothing happens. 3GO, midwest forum, has a group who does get it together. We had a meeting already this year and all were invited from here as well. A second one is in the works. Maybe this year will be different for TGO. I'd suggest starting another thread strictly for the proposed meet/gathering. And thanks Tom for bringing this up now. It's never to early to think of it. I know when I see my spring bulbs trying to open, it's almost time for the camaro to come out from being for the most part stored overwinter. |
