how much does he charge? I'm looking into a chip but i have very little money, as i am between jobs. and it's not looking hopeful. I'm wanting to get into the chip burning myself in the future, i've been eyeing the autoprom alot.
Ill do a chip for free for anyone that has a 91 or 92 5.7 camaro that will meet up with me to do some beta testing. Will only take an hour or so. Im in need of a car running SD so i can do some testing. It will all be safe and will not harm the car. Need to do this asap. Any takers?
ha i wish i had my motor built cause i found a SD harness that I'm using for my injection. but it'll be awhile before i get the motor built as i dont have a job..... and no ones hiring
Im just a little south of canton right now. I will be moving to north canton or green in a few months. Just let me know what mods you got and when you want one and ill get you a good tune on your car.
thats not a bad drive once i get a trailer for the car to sit on. I still have minor details to figure out for it. I'm buying one piece at a time for the motor, so it'll be awhile unless my luck changes soon.
hello everyone. im moved back to warren ohio, from alabama. been back a almost two months. just got back on line. making the move was alright got everything in two loads. first trip i took my car on a uhaul trailer. got a flat on the back of the van. secound and last trip i was pullig a trailer that i got from my moms husband. got two flats on that. had to drop the trailer for the secound flat to get the first flat tire fixed. other than that it was alright. so ive been back to work and almost settled in. getting ready to put a used but good tranny in the trans am. kinda excited about that. i put a new fuel pump in and had to tear apart the hole back half of the car well not all of it. it sure did seem like it. a tranny change should be a sinch.
welcome back to ohio jeremy. i'm only about 25 minutes from you now since I also just moved. My parents bought a house in ravenna so that's where i'm at now. If you need some info or some help some time let me know. My name on aim is MunsonGTA, if you have it feel free to msg me.
East of Columbus here! I know ther are a few Licking County people here! Give me a shout!
Jeremy,
The worst part of the trans swap is getting it out of there. I'm spoiled and can do it at work on a lift, with a tranny jack, but on the ground like some of the heavier vehicles we've had in, is really a PITA!!!! At any rate, even though it's heavier, I think I'd still rather swap a tranny than a fuel pump (unless someone's already butchered it by putting a hole in the floorpan). I'm going to be swapping my trans out in a wekk or so, as long as I get time to assemble it!

I am gonnd\a have to check out your ride sometime. I am currently in newark for the time being.
What's up Shifty? So you graduated UD? (I graduated 2002 I don't know if you remember). I see your living out in Newark. I'm in Westerville near Polaris. Have you been out to National Trails at all? I've been meaning to go out there for the Wed. night races. Were you originally from Newark?
Also, how's everyone's car doing this summer? Any big plans or finishing up the old ones?
One last thing for the Columbus people, Super Chevy is having their show/race out at National Trails the end of this month Aug. 27-29.

Later,
I have yet to make it to national trails this year. When do they have their test and tune nights? If it is on wed's I will go tonight if you want. I used to go to Kilcare in Dayton over the last 5 years. I was on the 5 year plan and finished this past may after starting in '99. I am in newark for the time being until I land a good job and put this degree to use. I am out of commossion as far as both of my f-bods are concered and I am driving an old work truck for the time being. I cannot affors the insurance on my 95 and my RS is a "work in pregress" due to its accident in dayton last year.
Well, Congradulations on graduating! ME getting it done!! hahaha
Anyway, insurance stinks. I used to have a 97 RS as my DD, but the insurance was nuts, so I bought something with some more room, and practical. I forgot about your accident, that sucks. I remember your post now, with the pics and all. Have you had any quotes on it yet? Thats a nice ride.
That is their current schedule. I wanted to go out there tonight, but I had to pick up my engine block. I found a 96 350 4 bolt main, with the vortec heads. So I'm pretty pumped about that. Anyways, I am definitely planning on going out there next wed, they call it grudge night. So I'll let ya know. It would be cool to meet up out there.
Originally posted by CashMunson Aren't the TA nationals coming to dayton this year? You guys should all go, i'd go but I don't trust my GTA to drive it that far.
WOOT!!!
So I just got back from picking up my motor!! Looks good, and it is under a warranty against cracks. Time for tear down and inspection. And ready for my wife (just married 2 weeks ago) to shoot me because I got my nice work clothes greasy from handling it.
Sorry, had to cheer.
Anyway, When are the TA nationals? That would be a great time to go back to dayton and party at the fieldhouse again.
Shifty- I will Pm you probably beginning of next week.
checked that site out. seems cool. got a est. for a paint job. 1200 to 1400 hundred. that will have to wait till income tax time. i want to swap trannys in the next few weeks. then ill be ready to do some driving.
Is there anyone on here from northern OHIO? around Sandusky area? We have about 6 cars in the area and we are looking for some more third/fouth gens to cruise around with. We live 5 minutes from the local dragstrip..... anyone be interested in meeting up somewhere, we are willing to drive and meet up somewhere.
Sandusky here. My car is currently on blocks undergoing a complete suspension & brake rebuild/upgrade. Gonna be a few more weeks at least before it is mobile again.

I live in Gahanna, Ohio. Its a suburb of C-bus on the Northeast side. I don't currently have a third gen, but if I can ever get my current car sold, there will be one calling my garage home in no time. On a side note, anyone want to trade a third gen for a 93 Sedan Deville?
And you'll see the 4 Thirdgen's sitting around the outside of my building.. The minivan's got the 9 bolt disk posi in it for the red 88 Formula in the middle with no front springs..The black 88 Form is my true love, the metaflake T/A is an engine tester, and the white one is just a doner..One of these days I'm going to sell a couple of these so I can get my head examined!
