I still have minor details to figure out for it. I'm buying one piece at a time for the motor, so it'll be awhile unless my luck changes soon. |

Car: 88 gta Engine: 350 tpi Transmission: 700r4 | hello everyone. im moved back to warren ohio, from alabama. been back a almost two months. just got back on line. making the move was alright got everything in two loads. first trip i took my car on a uhaul trailer. got a flat on the back of the van. secound and last trip i was pullig a trailer that i got from my moms husband. got two flats on that. had to drop the trailer for the secound flat to get the first flat tire fixed. other than that it was alright. so ive been back to work and almost settled in. getting ready to put a used but good tranny in the trans am. kinda excited about that. i put a new fuel pump in and had to tear apart the hole back half of the car well not all of it. it sure did seem like it. a tranny change should be a sinch. |

Car: 84 Z28 Engine: 355 (fastburn heads, LT4 HOT cam) Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: 9-bolt, 3.27 | East of Columbus here! I know ther are a few Licking County people here! Give me a shout!
Jeremy,
The worst part of the trans swap is getting it out of there. I'm spoiled and can do it at work on a lift, with a tranny jack, but on the ground like some of the heavier vehicles we've had in, is really a PITA!!!! At any rate, even though it's heavier, I think I'd still rather swap a tranny than a fuel pump (unless someone's already butchered it by putting a hole in the floorpan). I'm going to be swapping my trans out in a wekk or so, as long as I get time to assemble it!

Car: 1986 Iroc Engine: Afr 383 Transmission: TKO600 Axle/Gears: Moser 9" 3.70s | What's up Shifty? So you graduated UD? (I graduated 2002 I don't know if you remember). I see your living out in Newark. I'm in Westerville near Polaris. Have you been out to National Trails at all? I've been meaning to go out there for the Wed. night races. Were you originally from Newark?
Also, how's everyone's car doing this summer? Any big plans or finishing up the old ones?
One last thing for the Columbus people, Super Chevy is having their show/race out at National Trails the end of this month Aug. 27-29.
Later, |

Later, | I have yet to make it to national trails this year. When do they have their test and tune nights? If it is on wed's I will go tonight if you want. I used to go to Kilcare in Dayton over the last 5 years. I was on the 5 year plan and finished this past may after starting in '99. I am in newark for the time being until I land a good job and put this degree to use. I am out of commossion as far as both of my f-bods are concered and I am driving an old work truck for the time being. I cannot affors the insurance on my 95 and my RS is a "work in pregress" due to its accident in dayton last year. |

Car: 1986 Iroc Engine: Afr 383 Transmission: TKO600 Axle/Gears: Moser 9" 3.70s | Well, Congradulations on graduating! ME getting it done!! hahaha
Anyway, insurance stinks. I used to have a 97 RS as my DD, but the insurance was nuts, so I bought something with some more room, and practical. I forgot about your accident, that sucks. I remember your post now, with the pics and all. Have you had any quotes on it yet? Thats a nice ride.
Along the lines of National Trails... National Trails
That is their current schedule. I wanted to go out there tonight, but I had to pick up my engine block. I found a 96 350 4 bolt main, with the vortec heads. So I'm pretty pumped about that. Anyways, I am definitely planning on going out there next wed, they call it grudge night. So I'll let ya know. It would be cool to meet up out there.
Good luck on finding a job too !!! |

So I just got back from picking up my motor!! Looks good, and it is under a warranty against cracks. Time for tear down and inspection. And ready for my wife (just married 2 weeks ago) to shoot me because I got my nice work clothes greasy from handling it.
Sorry, had to cheer.
Anyway, When are the TA nationals? That would be a great time to go back to dayton and party at the fieldhouse again.
Shifty- I will Pm you probably beginning of next week. |
