count me in . . . +1 -- packin enough food to feed a few. . .
maybe I can hound some of you guys for suggestions for this nor-cal thirdgen logo while were all there. . .
Pretty big turnout! Now lets just hope everyone shows, and remember to bring food and drinks, maybe bring extras for others. Incase some people decide their not bringing anything and then get hungry/thirsty later.
I look forward to meeting all of you guys, it's great to meet local people with the same interests.
Hey Mystic its me +2 now (fiance and daughter). We can expect about 60% on average of people who post saying they might come that actually show up. Even then it would be a good crowd. I am also inviting this kid from Lee Auto supply in Alameda, he has an IROC. SO we may get him and a couple of his friends also but thats up in the air.
Hey Alex good idea, bring your logo out, I just posted a response to the last design you did.
this is gunna be a good turnout....if you do decide not to go it'll be a good idea to post in here and let us know..
i was also thinking...if there are ne san jose people in here are closer maybe it'll be a good idea to meet up here and take the drive up there all together...just a thought..
Originally posted by Frank_Blotto Heh. Hey Omcrider, are you inviting Gregg from Lee Auto? I was gonna tell him to come along too...
Yeah I believe Gregg is his name, has a black 3rd gen Camaro young kid about 19. If you see him mention it again give him the address I gave out earlier. I will also give him more detail when I see him again.
Speaking of address anyone have a problem finding a map to where this is?
hey, i read about the get together in Alameda on the 17th. that's
great. my car is still not ready but i will try to be there. i have a couple of friends with 3rd gens. i plan to ride with one of them to the meet. i also left a note on a nice camaro near my son's high school telling the owner of the meet. i also gave the thirdgen.org
website for more info.
if you guys show up at 9 in the morning, i hope the meet last at least to 3pm, because i don't get off work on saturdays untill 1pm.
okay, hope to see you guys, Big JOHN.
(hey Mystic, i'm the guy who sold you the 350 heads. hope they worked out well for you.)
Well, I won't be able to make it Nate. Sorry man, Friday night is Matt's 21st and we are most likely going to be quite smashed. No promises. If I am not too hung over, l'll be there for sure!
Will

It's cool man, bring whoever you want, some of us are bringing family/girlfriends/friends so it's cool. Some other people are bringing 4th gens or other cars too... so whatever. It's all cool with me.
Allrighty everyone, the weekend is coming upon us looks like we should have a good turnout. I wanted to cover a couple things like food. What I figure is everyone can bring there own meet and drinks snacks or whatever. Then bring a side dish if you can that can be shared. Things like potato salad, chips, macaroni salad, taco salad, lumpia, or whatever it is you like to make. Not everyone will need to bring charcoal and lighter fluid. Theres three pits there and I will bring my 21" Weber as well. I will have a 20lb bag of charcoal and some fluid so technically we only need a couple people to bring the same. If you want to volunteer speak up.
As I mentioned early in this post theres a good size grass area to play on, so bring some stuff to toss around. If you have a baseball mitt bring it. We can't actually bat there with a real ball so if anyone has a whiffle ball set that might be fun. If anyone has volleyball & net bring it. Frisbees, footballs whatever, you get the idea.
I will bring for group use:
1- 20lb bag of charcoal and lighter fluid
potato salad
football
So nows the time to volunteer with what you can bring so we don't end up with 20 bags of chips and nothing else. Mystic if you can organize the list once we start getting some responses that would be good.
I'll bring these food items :
a few bags of tostito's
enough homeade salsa.
Loaf of Italian bread or two
Several pounds of marinated chicken (olive oil, garlic, parsley, lemon)
and a few unedible items:
Charcoal, lighter fluid, lighters.
wiffle ball and bat.
logo designs.
Adambros - Tostitos, Salsa, Italian Bread, Chicken,
Frank Blotto - Sausages
87tpi - Sodas
omcrider - Potato Salad
Me - Pot of Chili
doesn't look too bad guys.. and we have a few people bringing things to toss around and stuff.
I will be bringing a small bag of charcoal, just in case we need some more. I urge everyone else to make sure they have what they want for themselves, and contribute some to the rest of us if you can.
My Baer brake installation is taking longer than expected..damn brakes...they say they are bolt on, but they don't mention that you need to do alot of other ****...fckuers!
Anyway...hopefully we can meet up at another time in the very near future.

It was cool, cept I was the lucky one who broke down.. 1.5 miles from getting there. Luckly enough these guys are great, and helped me out, Thanks again James and David.

it was cool, great to meet everyone who showed up -- and the rides of course. -- but you weren't the only "lucky one" to break down. 10 miles from fairfield the fuel pump quit (or at least all signs point to), quite suddenly too -- left us stranded on the side of 680 'til I got a tow
Well, I guess at least I know what to do with my sunday.
Wow, that majorly sucks. Ya know, I was royally screwed, cause I don't have towing or anything. I had the thought of fuel pump when my car died too, but I checked for fuel pressure and I had pressure, my problem was spark.
Turned out to be ignition module, my second thought as it died.
