Firebreed
what up where you from boot? Hows the navy treating you
im still in Great Lakes Il, litterally Lake Michagan (cant spell tonight) is about 700 ft from my Room! and it looks like a damn ocean rather then a lake...
Great Mistakes!!! Well, I hope you enjoy this winter... LMAO!! I spent a year at NTC back in 88/89. Are you active duty? I assume you're up for 'A' school while you're there? What's your rate? Any plans to get another 3rd gen? I don't think I'd buy one there. All the salt takes a terrible toll on their vehicles.
Yup, im an ET up here for A school, i eventually want to get another thirdgen, but i have to pay off my truck first lol, I'm at NSTC (Naval Service Training Command) Im active duty, and with my rate im in for a min of 6 years.

lol et huh? i wont knock the navy to much lol jk Im actually an EM in the coast guard. My sis graduated from there and her a school too i remeber it being hella cold up there. Good luck with the navy man hope they treat you good. Learn how to shine your boots so you can see **** perfectly normal out of them and keep a pressed uniform it will take you a long way
'taxi' is a usmc joke... though not one i ever laughed too hard at
brandon, i hope you enjoy et'a' school. i got out as an et1 after 11 years. did you go through be/e there also? how far are you through school?
i have a bawlzy tip for you... even though you think you're committed for six years, you're not. you've enlisted for four years. they will ask you to sign a two year extension near your graduation date. one year is for your automatic advancement to et3 and the other is for a 'c' school which you don't get to choose. if i had it to do over again, i wouldn't sign the extension. you'll go to your first ship as an etsa or etsn... not much different than an et3 really. you'll make et3 in a year probably and there's a better chance that you'll end up with a 'c' school and nec that you're interested in instead of something crappy like hf systems. but the biggest reason is, if you ever decide to re-enlist and there's a bonus available, you'll be eligible to be paid for the two years you didn't extend. of course, if you don't re-enlist, you get out two years early!
be advised, they will try to threaten and scare you into signing the extension and the longer you stay in the navy, you'll find that they use that same tactic for most everything... get used to it.
in any case, i hope you get everything you hope for out of your time in the military. it's good stuff.

Just goin through the threads that i posted back in the day, and just wanted to say hey again, my truck is doin great, just put in a Long travel kit for it (11 inches of travel, the most i can get with out a ton of custom fab work) did a coil over conversion w/ shock hoops pluss a few other mods.

I am now stationed down in San Diego on the 32nd street base.
Vexter, i took the e-5 exam in sept. waiting on the results (crossing my fingers that i make it, so i can keep up with my desert racing hobby LOL)
