Re: Tommorow

so bad news bears.

I just took apart my rear end. I put my finger in teh hole like i was supposed to and didnt feel any oil...so i proceded. Aparently it was pretty dry. Think it only went up a 1/2 in in the pan. No major chunks of metal. Pretty clean with minor grind. Normal wear and tear.

It just smells like its burning. I noticed a brake cable hugging the aftermarket exhaust so i tied it back.

Then i was looking around for shiz n gigles and i found this...It looks like smogish. Like a white plastic that is broke. not sure.

Hope my seals didnt jack up from no oil. Guess i can only pray. I dunno i feel warm again so im gonna go outside and finish the job.

Eh, I can't remember if it just ends there or connects to a different hose. I have run without one before just fine though.

sweet pm me your # i should be back later tomorrow evening we are gonna head out to sac around 10 ish. Im gonna probably get up around 7 and finish the rear and fuel filter.

I would like to check my timing. But the only thing i have timed are rotor blades on a helicopter, and that was cakeness. that and i don't have a timing light either. I think i might have a vacuum leak if this filter dosent fix things.

i wish i could explain to you how much money i have spent this week just on tools.

All my tools are in oklahoma and i also have extra cam parts. It would be super costly to ship them all here so i gave them up to my father.

In this essence ive bought sockets wrenchs hammers jacks and stands. ramps and such. Hundreds of dollars in tools. When i can drive 10 mins and have someone bust them off in a few seconds.

Not on top of all the tune up parts ive bought. **** gets expensive and my camaro budget is halfway down. Im trying to get most of it done so i can roll up on the 11th. This car had the same gear oil and struts from 20 years ago. So i am trying to get a "Safe" ride. And im lazy too.

I have a decent job but i have bills. I still have to clear up my title mess with CA dmv. BUT I FOUND OUT...insurance is 30 bucks a month.

Re: Tommorow

uuggh jeez, i was laughing at the thought of buying a breaking bar. not at you. almost any house had a round or sqaure rod with a hole in the middle you can use as a breaker bar, that's why. nothing to do with your financial situation.

Re: Tommorow

well tomorrow turned into tomorrow. I just now got back. Picked up the Iroc rims. They have mix matched 245/50r16's on em. atleast one i looked at. Dif brands. All have decent tread. One of the reasons i was trying to get a rattle was for the wheel locks. I bought the screw thing to take them off. I guess ill take it to a auto shop or something. Rims in good shape.

The guy i bought the rims from had 3 third gens at his house. His cousin had a 85 irox with twin turbo 350 with cold air intake. He was putting in a mosher 12 while i was there. He had 4th gen seats and a badass custom cut bezle he designed. It fit 2 big gauges and 3 little. I asked if he had the pattern and he said yeah hes having more made. I told him i want one.

Anyways the guy who sold me the wheels told me to drop by on my way up sunday. If his camaro's going he wanted to come. Also, the cousin with the 85 said hed come if his rearend was lined up. So possibly 2 more rox in the group.

Rough are you going? We could cruise up that way together.

No idea. It was on jack stands. Unless what i said was impossible. I know it was twin turbo though. If so do not pick at me. My car knowledge is below par. I am getting a fire hose to the face on specs and info. Trying to catch up on my failed progression due to following aircraft and building pc's.
