Who would come to Concord for a little meet?
I know a good little family Pizza place that would love the business, and they are in a shopping center with a rather large parking lot that's never full. Just throwing it out there....
What all did you guys have for entertainment at Mel's? Just hang out and eat food?

I would drive down in a heartbeat if my job didn't interfere, but as it stands I would go as long as I have or can get the day off. I do have the same question as above; how's the pizza?

It's pretty good. Crust is on the thicker/doughier side. They sell by the slice for cheap with a drink or you can get a regular pizza with whatever you want on it. There's also a Starbucks, Subway, Chinese, and Mexican place in the same shopping center along with a few other shops.

You are about 155 miles or a 2.5 hour drive. I might be go depending on how many people show up. I dont want to drive that far to see like 4-5 thirdgens.

Holy crap - I am 99% sure I saw your car in the DVC parking lot about a year ago. I rolled up next to it and took a couple pictures because I liked the wheels.

Thats what I would be afraid of. I think the central valley GTGs did so well because so many were so close. There's not nearly as many active members from the bay area, at least that's how it seems to me. Hence the thread.

Yep thats me. Pretty much the same still but the original 305 TPI spun a bearing. Its a much more exciting car now.
East Bay thirdgenners obviously have great taste.

For me what it comes down to are 3 things...
1. Do I have money for Gas?
2. Can I get the day off work?
3. Is my car even working? Or am I working on it...

If I had a picture of my shop, this would be the perfect place to show it. 3 f-bodies, none driving. Blown rearend on '79 Camaro, '84 Z28 body and chassis, and a no start on a '94 Formula. **sigh**

I love that! usually rock Zephlin or something like that, but disco could fly. Naw the '79 is going under for a full resto with an LS1 andafter market suspension. The drivetrain in the '79 will be going into the '84 so I've still got a car to drive while I do the resto. Then I will go after the third gen.

Yeah LS-Gunnin is what I want to do to my '87 soon.
I've been wanting to go OBD2+sequential+tubular K for a while now and if I get all that plus a free aluminum block + heads and some extra HP for free, sign me up!

I want an Ls1 also, but not in this car. I am leaving this car the way it is. When I go for an LSX swap, its going in a GTA...

I just love the way that second gen drives, and the way I feel in it. I just want to make a more modern car out of it so I can drive it every day, anywhere. The thirdgen will be my beast.

that is exactly why that car has been with me for ten years now. Also why I took on this thirdgen project, got sick of wishing I hadn't sold the others I had.

$6 for a deep dish pepperoni. Way better than their standard pizza. Slather it with Cholula or Tapatio and you're in business.

I usually have good luck with Pizza Hut when I go out of town, but I agree, anything that leaves more room for the beer budget is good. Besides, the more beer you drink, the better the pizza is! DRINK MORE BEER!!

Oh, no sir, I meant nothing in the form of drinking AND driving....delivery bud!
Passing out on your own kitchen floor (or your buddy's) beats blacking out behind the wheel any day. I won't even drink one if I am the one with the keys, especially in the F-bodies. But if I have a D.D. it's on!
