and not just any car. i wouldnt post this on thirdgen.org if i wanted a honda. you guys pretty much talked me out of buying that 87 iroc a few weeks back and im happy about that. but ive been searchin craigssite.gro forever. im staying away from the bay on this one. ive even drove around my city lookin for one for sale. i found one in LA that was decent but when i called the chick and asked her if it was smoged she said 'ya my boyfriend just had it smoged. it cost 150 bucks cause it had to be under the table' so lets just say im not getting that one.\\

Would you drive a Pontiac?

Got an good condition original TPI 5 spd. Formula. 4 wheel discs.
Passed smog last month (legally).
Mostly original no t-tops (which is a huge handling plus in my book).
I'm the original owner, have all repair records etc. since new.

Re: WHY IS THIS SO HARD!!! i need a car

I understand your pain! I'm in the market for another thirdgen and have found the market completely different from 3 years ago when I picked mine up. There are barely any for sale now and people want ridiculous prices for complete CRAP THRASHED thirdgens up here in the bay area!!! I also noticed that the prices for our cars seem to be going up, again for usually for complete crap. It seems I couldve typed in IROC on craigslist 3 years ago, many listings would pop up and they were priced fair.

80's Monte SS are the same way. 5,000 for a complete turd!

Take a look in the Reno/Sparks area, it isn't very far from Sacramento and I have seen a few on craigslist there. Also look into Chico, Red Bluff, and Redding areas as well, all of them are within a few hours drive from the central Ca area.

Most people search for many months before they find the right deal. It will come your way!
