FS: 1987 Trans Am (305 TPI)

** PHOTOS AT BOTTOM! **

I purchased this '87 Trans Am in March '08 from Southern California with the intention to restore it completely, "beef it up", and use it as a daily driver. It has been my daily driver and has been reliable, but my husband and I are moving into a new home and we just have too many cars (6) and not enough time or space for another project so I am having to let her go. As she sits, she is tons of fun and the A/C blows cold! How many old muscle cars do you see these days with a great A/C? Not many! BUT I paid good money for it because a working A/C is important to me! I like comfort AND muscle :-)

..Specs..
* 1987 Pontiac Trans Am WS-6 WITH T-Tops!
* 305 TPI Engine
* Black Exterior, needs new paint - no rust though!
* Black Cloth Interior
* Automatic Transmission with performance shift kit
* 139,000 miles -- Not bad for a car that's 22 years old!
* R134 Air Conditioning System, barely a year old! System was installed by GM Certified dealer! It was a MUST for summer in the Central Valley!
* Great Heater! Nice & Warm!
* After market Pioneer CD Player with Alpine Rear Speakers
* No Over-Heating Issues!
* Original Honey Comb Wheels - Black on the inside with a polished lip
* Power Windows!
* Privacy Tint on the Driver & Passenger Side Window & on rear hatch window
* Front & Rear Window Defroster Works!

TONS of NEW parts on car:
* 2 Sumitomo Rear Tires
* Front Rotors
* Brake Calipers
* Brake Pads
* Master Brake Cylinder - Leaking when we bought it
* Turn Signal Switch - Turn signals didn't work when we bought it!
* Sylvania Silver Star Headlights
* Privacy Window Tint on passenger & driver window
* Catalytic Converter
* EGR Valve
* Cigarette Lighter - Didn't work when we bought it! Now you can run your Tom Tom or radar detector for those long drives
* Spark Plugs & Wires
* Cap & Rotor
* Inner & Outer Tie Rod Ends
* Center Link
* Locking Gas Cap
* Altenator

The Bad...
* No headliner in the car - The original headliner was sagging horribly so I just removed it with intentions of replacing it later.

* The front seats need to be re-upholstered, but the rear seats are immaculate! A standard seat cover fits just fine over the front ones!

* May need a new PCM ? I've taken this car to Los Angeles and back several times through the Grapevine and was passing traffic with ease.

* Valve guide seal leaks a bit

* Emergency Break does not engage

* Hood - Has some dents in it, but a replacement comes with the car!

* Spoiler - It's starting to crack a bit

* I believe it was in an minor accident before we purchased it, but we ran CarFax in March 2008 and it was clear

Extra GOODIES that come with the car...
* Used Trans Am Hood, no dents or dings - it just needs to be repainted
* Used Vortec 350 Engine, needs a full rebuild
* Used Posi Rearend with Rear Discs
* Used World Class T5 Manual Transmission, could probably use a rebuild
* Used 15 x 9 Wheels (see pix below) - Not cosmetically in the best shape, but I planned to use these for race rubber so I didn't care
* New Power Antenna - The car was missing the antenna when we bought it
* New Thermostat - Bought it and haven't needed it!

To try to avoid anyone wasting their time, I am being upfront with the condition of the car and any problems that I know exist. Please do me the same courtesy and don't waste mine. We are asking $2,750 OBO. Or Best Offer being an operative term here!! Serious buyers only. No joy rides, cash in hand for test drive! Selling AS IS, buyer responsible for smog. We don't have the $ or time right now!

Please PM me (I will NOT be checking this posting, no time!) or call 209-233-5725 between 9am-9pm M-F and leave a detailed voicemail. I will not return a call without a voicemail. Thanks for looking!

The car has been sold, but they wanted the car -- not the extra parts. I will post the parts ASAP, hopefully some of you guys can use them!!
