Gotcha.
Well I'm not one to promote driving uninsured, especially at the track.
Just trying to offer a little encouragement, but it is how it is. Hopefully something works out for ya.

i'm going to try to be there if I avoid work or kids-sitting for that day. Someone said they have some drag radials I can borrow? I'm sure I'll be needing them, as I hope to break into the 17's
Well some pre-mods runs will be fun enough, it is brackets right? Only did those a few times years back.
edit, hmmm, I better change out those original(?) 135k mi plugs first so I can hope to get into the 17s... hehe

doesn't look like the durango will sell in time to get the rest of the parts i need for the formula. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody again and running the S4. My stock intercoolers heatsoak pretty fast so i'll be spacing out the runs, unless the durango sells then i'll buy new ic's. My brother didn't get the z28, sucks but ohwell.

I am strongly considering doing just that, even though I'm likely to catch a case from it. We'll see, I might still make it.

Are you guys ready or what??!
Looks like we have a head count of 15+, but I'm assuming more with families and others stopping by, so for those in the list below, keep that # in mind on what you buy.
3rdbird - Gas grill / drinks, bottled water, cokes & ice.
Ramair21 - Dogs / buns
OUTATIME GTA - Plates/napkins
87tpi - Chips, potato/macaroni salad
86copchaser76 - Utensils + ketchup/mustard/relish

What time should we start cooking? Who's doing the cooking anyway?
I'm going to try & save some spots around the end of the grandstands.

If you can help cooking the chow, you're welcome to use any tool on my trailer.

I'll be there at 4pm sharp as well, but that may be too early to cook.
Anyone not racing that can man the grill? It's just dogs, very easy and I'm sure everything else we can just setup wherever Marc has room at the trailer.

Somehow word got around that I might try to call off that Saturday (I'm not sure how, I didn't even tell my wife yet), and I was threatened with my job if I call in. So, once again, count me out. Have a great time fellas.

Not sure if I'm going to roll now or not, been lagging on parts for the IROC, the truck would put down some impressive times though

Re: Nor Cal Third Gen GTG Fall 09 - PART 2
Had a good time y'all. Weather was a bit sticky, but still decent.
Glad to see some new faces out today and that everyone who said they could make it out, actually did!
Thanks to all the folks who came through and brought the goods; Marc (3rdbird), Joey (Ramair21), Steve (87tpi) & John (86copchaser76).
Only snapped a few pics of some of us racers, but we had a few more 3rd gens out there; UndercoverTBI, Smokin Z and Wills91RS.
Disappointing times it seemed for most, but I was feelin' good with a new best of 12.6@111 and a 1.83 60'.
Let's do it again soon and it looks like we have some other ideas for future GTG's as well, cruising, dyno, etc.

Good times...hanging out that is, racing times,...not so good.
Ah such is racing. Back to the dyno. Hey theres a new GTG.
I know I'm going to SVS ASAP. I gotta break into 10's before the years over.
Hopefully my photoguy got some good pics.
