Going to Run my Junk today... Sacramento Raceway

If the weather holds at the Sacramento Wednesday night drags. Anyone going out? Hoping for at least a 13.4 or faster this time... Haha. I am still looking for a high 12 on a good day.

Today should be as an ideal day as it gets weather wise.

Let us know how your "junk" runs. What was your prior best last year, 13.7?

Re: Going to Run my Junk today... Sacramento Raceway

Best I pulled was a 13.1 @ 105... 1.8 60 ft. Made a total of 14 passes... all 13's. I think I put too much oil in my car as it was smoking pretty good down the track. Working on getting the vid up.

Prior best was a 13.7 @ 103 with 2.2 60 ft.

None, I just got my launch down... I was averaging 2.0-1.9's, with a couple high 1.8's.. Im telling you man, on good conditions and some more tuning on my car imma get 12's.

Probably a set of slicks could net you a 12.9@106 like Joey.

Re: Going to Run my Junk today... Sacramento Raceway

Yeah maybe. I think I can hit a 12.9 as is. I had too much oil in my car and I need to bump up my fuel pressure, I noticed car car has a hesitation when I floor it. It just runs really rich. I think it will do 12's when I bump up my fuel pressure, drain some oil, and adjust my Air to Fuel ration on my prom.

I was cutting 1.9's on my nittos consistently after I figured out how my car likes to be launched, with a couple 1.8's... Unless slicks can get me a WOT launch cutting 1.6'r or 1.7's, I think I will be okay on my nittos. Wouldn't hurt to try a set out though.

1.8's are pretty good considering your mods. I was pulling 1.6's, 1.5's leaving on the bottle w a stock engine & TPI.

Dont break it before 3-20-10!

You won't pull 1.5-1.6's with drag radials. Marc is using a M/T slick variety. I think 1.7-1.8 is very good for DR's.

Re: Going to Run my Junk today... Sacramento Raceway

I don't know if im going be running my car. My recruiter told me I can't, He told all the recruiters in Sac too, so if they find out I was at the track, they will kick me out. Im pissed, they don't own me (yet).

Worst comes to worst, my dad will run it, but not run very good times... haha

I foot brake it to about 1k then roll on the throttle. Footbraking it higher kills my traction.

I think he has like a 2900 stall already.
Maybe post up your significant mods Bully to give folks a better idea what you're working with.

I can only imagine how mine would run with a higher stall and if I wasn't so stubborn on keeping TPI.

Your recruiter does not care if you race this month, but does next?
