Ready for smog

I've been rebuilding my Camaro for a few years now and it's finally running again. I live in an area where no dyno is required, but I've done some some unique things, and I need help going over every little part of the inspection to make sure there are no issues.

I'm confident I'll be fine at the tailpipe. Can someone who knows the process really well help remind me of everything that will get checked visually and tested?

Thanks!

Re: Ready for smog

If I remember right the only difference in the 2speed idle test is, tested at idle/2500rpm, and an EGR function test. Think everything else is the same.

This might help

Smog Check Manual

I'm attempting to get a Holley Dominator EFI to run my smog equipment and have the car appear stockish. So far so good.

How exactly is the EGR tested guys?

Re: Ready for smog

From the CA BAR:

EGR Functional: During the Smog Check inspection, the technician performs a functional test of the EGR system per the vehicle manufacturer's instructions. This ensures the EGR system is operating as designed.

EGR Visual: As part of the Smog Check inspection, the technician performs a visual inspection of all emission components the vehicle is equipped with, including the EGR system. The technician visually inspects the EGR valve and associated plumbing for defects or modifications. The technician will either pass or fail the fuel cap visual test based on observations made during the test.
