Just looking for 3rd gen lovers in my earea see if there are clubs here or anything

Not really any clubs for thirdgens or get-togethers that I know of. I haven't been living in Lincoln that long though. I'm originally from Columbus, NE and there its mostly mustangs(fox bodies and 4.6's) and some 4th gens. There might be a club in omaha.


Earlier today I just started thinking about organizing a Eastern Nebraska Thirdgen get-together next spring. Wouldn't mind getting something going this fall but nebraska weather can be crazy, its snowed in october before. And I would want some time for word to get out.

Im from the Big O, im usually down around abbott on the weekends, or racin somewhere. The caliber of rides down there have turned to **** middle of summer, but i heard its pick'n up. Alot more bikes too. Theres a twin turbo'd supra and one nasty *** Goat thats been tearin it up lately.

Yep i live by Wahoo Nebraska and love camaro's. If any one wants a camaro i can hook you up with a couple, ones got a 327, another with a 305 bored .30 over and my friend i have 1

count me in for a meet or too, tho it may cost a bit to drive down there, but thats were my car is orginally from we'll see on gas prices

We got the creston rod run around easter and the hot rod power tour is happening to be in lincoln this june/july. It would be cool to see more thirdgens at those events.

just south of omaha here. count me in on a thirg gen event anytime after the snow melts.

Basically, its muscle and V8 cars. There might be a car show in a small town(400 people) then all the cars drive to another town, then another, then maybe columbus, then eventually ends up in Creston where all the burnouts happen.

Let's try meeting up sometime during the rod run on Easter Sunday. I'll try to have the LT1 car running but I got a lot of work to do on it this winter.

Easter Sunday is in march this year. I'll try to find out more info on creston rod run 2008. It goes to different towns every year.

I was in Omaha this past week in my 92 RS and did not see one thirdgen...maybe because it is winter but still not one in 8 days is pretty bad...

Well in my opinion, at least there are some good owners down there if their storin their cars for the winter... tho my car came from omaha and it wasn't in good shape

Easter weekend may be abit tight on my schedule this year, i'll see how things progress

Columbus will have 1-3 more car shows

Seward on July 4th but there is usually only 50 cars total. Seward is the 4th of July city, its the place to be on the 4th of July anyway.

Norfolk has a big one, dont know when.

There at least 5 little towns that I know of that have car shows every year too but were talking 30 cars total.

Then Kearney cruise night. I haven't been to that yet.

I'll work on the dates of all these events... I know whats going on in mostly mid-eastern nebraska. There is plenty of events coming up.

I"m from SE Nebraska (Blue Springs). I just paid for my Hot Rod Power Tour registration for Lincoln in June. Plan on hitting a few shows this summer in the eastern part of the state. I'm in the first stages of finishing up my motor which will be done by end of April. Then my 86 Z will be finally finished (3 yr project).
Keep info posted in hear of what is going on as we get close to spring & summer.

from omaha here also. I'm going to power tour in Lincoln for sure. maybe topeka and ames also, haven't made up my mind yet! Does anyone know if they have awards to be handed out at each stopping point for the shows? or is it just a big car show, I can't seem to find out too much info about this on hot rods web site. There is a camaro club in omaha. They do a lot of stuff around here. I think it is called Midwest Camaro Club. Anyone going to power tour, we should all meet up at some point.

hey guys didnt want to start a new thread, looks like i'll be coming out to run a new shop my companies putting up in fremont, just had a few questions like whats the town like, whats the scene like and most importantly do you have emission laws???

I wouldn't worry about emissions. I see a few cars (mustangs and firebirds) that drive around with longtubes and true duals dumping behind the rear axle and never get in trouble for exhaust/emissions. Its the other stuff they get in trouble for, ha.

I'm thinking about switching to true duals myself but kind of want to have dual cats also just in case.

If anyone is looking for Z-28 I have found one. It has a 327 stroker and a 700r4 i know the guy personally and he wants to sell the body for 500 bucks and the 327 for like a grand, I could get him to sell the package for 1200-1400 bucks. tranny isnt in and the 327 needs to be timed. hasnt been started or driven for a long time. Did anything come about from the idea of a third gen club or some sort of get together? Columbus has a cruise in on the last thursday of the month during the summer... ALWAYS mustangs there... anyone for a chevy invasion during one of them? The next one is Aug 28th. I hope to be there with mine but have to rerun 1/2 fuel line for the weekend races first...

after reading this i kinda got a idea about having a get together on july fourth having a barbeque and towards the night have a giant fire works display for those who come.. but the only thing is were? would we do it thats convient for people to drive...
