I am having an electrical problem right now and can't start the car. The car lites up but does not turn over. I have replaced the starter and ignition switch. I have found a dead wire leading from the neutral safety switch which is yellow. It has no power and I think this is the problem. Do you have any experience with this problem? If so can you tell me how this wire or the safety switch gets power without having to trace this wire thru the whole car?

i had a similar problem, car would start up, run good, then just die and wouldn't crank, everything else would work perfectly, turned out the starter solenoid was messed up, bought a new starter and all my problems disappeared.
i wish i could help you out with the nuetral safety switch, the best help i can give you is to tell you to find a copy of a b&m shifter installation manual because it includes it's own switches and tells you what color wire needs to connect to what other color wire. There should only be four, two of themturn on your reverse lights, the other two *I THINK* are connected to give power to the ignition.
If you don't have any answer by 3:30, let me know and i'll run out and tear my shifter plate off and tell you for sure what colors go together, k?
k, nm, i got bored, yellow and purple should be your reverse light switch, if not, who cares, they're not the ones in question.
Brown and Green are the wires your gonna need, the green should not be hot, but the brown IS hot...i'm thinkin that they should be connected either all the time or set back up the way they were on the stock shifter (mine are hardwired, car starts in any gear)
Thanks everyone. I am on the road again. It was the purple wire leading from the Neutral safety switch to the starter. What a pain the the ...
