i exploded my posi unit the other nite and am lookin for one just to get me by for the rest of the season, its an 84 camaro with a 2 series carrier.

PM Dave (bbtaz97), I'm pretty sure he still has the one that I gave him last year. Had 80k miles or so on it, but the posi worked great when it was in the car. As far as I know, he hasn't done anything with it yet.

it is for a 2 series gear right? when did they go to 28 spline axles also.

Yeah its a 2-series. Its got 2.73 gears on the carrier still. 26-spline, came out of my '88. Switched to 28-spline sometime in '89 I believe.

Actually I don't remember if the 2.73 gear is on there anymore. I shattered the gears in the rear and don't remember if I ended up pulling the ring gear off. Either way, the posi worked great, and they were definitely 2.73 gears so its a 2-series carrier/posi.
