First day of school...

....and this should make it a little more bearable for my son. Just spent 3 years rebuilding, painting, etc and now he's driving it more than me! And he's only had his license for a month. WTH!

No worries though, tomorrow it's back to reality for him in his daily driver.

Re: First day of school...

LOL, I've been called worse! But honestly it's all about memories. I've wanted a 3rd gen since they came out my senior year in school and finally got one 23 years later.
If it gives my son something to look back on that was something cool it's the least I could do. I also told him he could have it when he graduates in 2 years if I don't sell it by then.
Heres a better pic as those look pretty bad.

Nice

I just graduated from high school and my dad surprised with a camaro of his own. Garaged for 18 years, perfectly mint and I couldn't be anymore luckier to have such a wonderful dad.

Wow. That car looks awesome. I saw your build thread and you really make me jealous with all your "I know how to work metal and you don't" attitude. Kidding. Great work on a great car. Your son is very lucky to get to drive that. I drove my Dad's baby blue/white 55 Chevy convertible to senior prom and I felt like I was King of the world. That was 14 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. Too bad he had to take his little sister along ... or is that his lady-friend?

LOL, yup that's his sister. It's now his job to get her to school.

Pearl Iroc, the car has 2" Dropzones and Monroe Gas adjust shocks all around.
Handles awesome and doesn't bottom out nearly as bad as I thought it would.

I'm gonna throw a set of big & littles on it shortly just to see how they look.

That is cool. I got my car middle of sophmore year. I bought it off my dad as he didn't have time nor the money to keep it. It sat for a while outside. I started it and idled it every now and then while it was sitting. Here is a picture of when i got it...

And here it is now. I am now a senior. I added Clear Sidemarkers, Blacked out the tail lights, Added Black Crosslace wheels, 4th gen ebony Leather seats front and back... And I rebuild the rearend, not to mention countless hours of tuning.

Here is how she now sits:
