Need to get about 15-20 more people together to get this rental together this year (don't let this number scare you away, I'm not the only person trying to get a few more people).
May 9th
Cordova Dragway on the Iowa border between 80 and 88.
9AM - 2PM
You will pretty much get as many runs as you can get in that day. The year before last I made 26 passes, and easily could've done double or even triple that if I had wanted to. Its a great track, usually prepped very well (a little wide on the water box, but they keep it clean). There will be cars there at all performance levels, so you'll have something to race no matter what you bring.
Downside is its a decently long drive from most of us.. but the drive out there is not bad at all.. all open highway that can be very fun
$40, needs to be paid up front in order to try to get this thing together.
I'm willing to collect the money. If we can't get enough people together, you'll get your money back. If there are enough people, and it happens, and you don't show, your deposit is non-refundable.
You can pay the MFBA directly if you'd please, but I am unsure of if they will be refunding if it doesn't happen. I would imagine they would...but you're safe with me

Guy's this is one of your only chances to hit a true strip rental. There will be enough cars that you won't get bored, but Dean ran 26 passes in two sets last year. He was literally doing back to back passes without any waiting.
He'd run the 1/4 mile, roll down the return lane with the hood popped for cool air, pull up to the line, we shut the hood and he'd stage. It was that fast.
Because racing starts at 9, and its about 2 1/2 hours away from us... making 6:30 a good time to leave

66 is MUCH MUCH more than 10k for the day, last figure I heard was closer to 6 figures for renting the track for a day for a pro stock team to run there. It's not 8 grand...it's $1250 for 5 hours.

Yeah, the $40 prepay with 32 cars covers the event cost. But its only break-even then. If it had been 8 grand for the event well, that would be bit of a problem for us to come up with on such short notice.
