Need some advice pro's chime in-Clutch- - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

Hey all have not posted in a while.

I got my camaro done besides paint that is coming soon. i have a problem with the clutch slipping, i got a t-56 swapped in and it doesnt grab enough. i dont know if its due to it not being a mechanical and the pressure plate not being enough or i just need a different stage clutch or how to go about tackling this. i have never messed with transmissions much so i was wondering if anyone knows what would be a good clutch to go with i was looking into a stage 2 clutch of some sort i heard centerforce was good but just wondering if any manual guys could chime in and point me in the right direction. i just need something that will hold 550 hp and about shy of 600 trq. thats the last part to not be modified on the car. any help is appreciated.. thanks

I like my CF DualFriction, nice pedal feel with a killer grip.

I don't have any experience with street/strip clutches that hold that much, but if you ever get the road course bug I know the perfect clutch. It's either in or out though, no in between. It sucks unless you're racing.

I have a center force DualFriction clutch too, and it never game me any problems. I got a Briggs and Straton under the hood though (Relative to what you are running), so I can't say anything about how much power it can hold.
