North burbs tech help

I'm up here in Skokie, and was hoping there might be someone in the area that could help with my Nitrous install, and general engine tuning? Also, is there a dyno shop anywhere around here? I'd like to get some baseline numbers before I beef anything up.

Here's the car:

Thanks guys

Robert

Got subframe connectors, steering brace, striker bolts, and 3rd light bulbs from Top Down Solutions today. Greaseable door hinge kit is on it's way too.

I'd suggest getting those SFC's welded in. Overtime the metal fatigues and the bolt holes can elongate because of that.

I've got a set of SFCs I need to get installed. The rattles are driving ME insane.

If you don't have a wonderbar, that spohn unit will really make a difference in the steering.

The top most part is a wonderbar from Top-Down. It mount 3 bolts per side which I like, and I didn't need the preload adjustment. Installed it today (pics).

I plan to install the frame connectors and door hinge repair kit next weekend. I'm welding them in so thirdgen89GTA, you're more than welcome to come by. Here's my welder:

We'll just do both cars! An extra pair of hands always comes in handy too. Have you ever done the hinge repair? Ever weld?

Re: North burbs tech help

You wouldn't want my pile on your driveway, its got some nasty leaks still that I really need to take care of. The PS line i had to rebend to make fit for the LT1 swap is leaking at the steering box. And I have either a leak at the oil pan gasket in the rear, or its the RMS thats leaking.

I'm thinking if I take the car THAT far apart, I might as well regasket the whole engine.

My SFC's are the spohn perimiter weld ins. Which are probably a pain to weld in. I don't even know if I can weld them in without first fixing some spots on the floor because the previous owner had run over a rock.

I have the TDS wonderbar too, but i tend to associate round, red painted suspension pieces as Spohn. I know, I know. . I just do.

I'd be no good with a welder (what i can do with a welder is an insult to welders everywhere And I wouldn't trust any welds I did to hold). But I can definitely understand where a 2nd set of hands can come in handy. I'm on call this week, and I've got a project due at work by the end of September which is taking up most of my time. I'm kind of a weekend guy for car work right now. I'll check in near the end of the week, should have a better idea then.
