Finally! My LT1 through a real exhaust!

http://home.comcast.net/~thirdgen89g...ll_exhaust.mp3

Specs:
Stock B-body LT1 (Iron heads 9.3:1 cr I think, 190/194 @.050" lift baby cam)
Hooker 2055 shorty headers
SLP 2otL cat-back.

Its EXTREMELY quiet, even decatted its quiet as a mouse. Open y-pipe it was quieter than Tims cammed LS1 through a hooker cat-back. I'll have to fix that.

I'm thinking Lloyd Elliot stage 1 heads, and the hot-cam I have sitting in my dads garage.

For anyone who wonders about head flow, the cam in my LT1 is the SAME cam in TBI Caprices. The only difference between the two is the intake and heads. The TBI makes 180hp, while the iron headed LT1 makes 260hp with the same camshaft.

Crazy power difference.

cam is the reason for the lack of exhaust noise, toss in the hot cam and it'll wake up.

Re: Finally! My LT1 through a real exhaust!

Getting closer. Pirtek did nice work on my new power steering lines. So nice to have non-crappy feeling power steering.

Now I need to take the car to a shop, have some hangers welded on the floor to tuck the exhaust up nice, and off I go.

Still have a few things i want to fix before i head to the track. Once is to move to dual fans, i've got a single fan right now because of some routing hard line routing issues and a broken radiator shroud. Rip the carpet out, have the SFC's welded in, and put new carpets in. It may be all done except for paint by track time. I am excited!
