Road Race tires

Does anyone make DOT road race tires in the 245/50R16? Tirerack does not list any, they do have 245/45/16, but that would mess up my tuned gearing. anyone know where to get some sticky road race only tires?

Toyo? Hankook also has an R-compound out now but I don't know what sizes they carry.

Have you looked at the specs of the Kumho or Hoosier 245/45/16s on the TireRack site (or maybe a 255/45/16 Hoosier)? Are their diameters that far off of a "regular" 245/50/16? Their R-tires are usually wider than the average street tire of the same size, so I'm guessing that the actual diameters might be different, too??

Hoosier and Kumho have "R" compound tires in 245's and I think Kumho also has a 265 R

Goodyear GS-CS, though that may be a 245/45
