so all the mods were done to the new engine u didnt have any of those on the old tbi. if so all you really added was the manifold carb cam the porting to your heads wasnt really worth the money imo the carb is to big and the rest of the stuff is basically tuneup things to make it run its best not add hp. the gears were they in there be4 if so then id say 14s not 13s yet at least not mid 13s

i think you have a really good shot at 13's. Look at mw66nova's car he is running 13.7's and his cam is smaller and he dosent have the stall, he does have it bored over .030 though. I would say you could get into the 13's with that if you can hook but there is only one way to find out. And they're right about the carb thats way to much go with a 600 cfm. Also ditch the flowtech headers they are crap and they will cost you time.

get the 4150 version of the 600cfm vaccum sec. carb. that is what i am running. 13.75@100.5 with a stock converter from an l98 corvette. 1800stall roughly. 2.02 60' with traction, stall is too low. getting built 700r4 with tax return. already purchased new converter from ATI built for my motor and gears. getting new m/t drag radials too for more traction, cause BFG's ae now toast. with weight reduction (3045lbs no driver, 3300 w/) and new tranny/converter/tires, i should see some low 13 sec. passes.

650 is better. may still be a slight pain to tune.

since it's a dual plane intake each side of the motor is only going to see half that CFM. now if you were running a single plane intake i would definately recommend a smaller carb, but on a dual plane i would keep it on there IMO. if it works well i wouldn't mess with it since the price was right. I am running a 750 VS carb on my 305, which the secondaries won't open all the way due to the way a VS carb works on sizing towards airflow requirements, but with your 3500 stall converter I don't see there being much of a flat spot down low either that is usually caused by too much carb. If there's no bog and gas mileage isn't too bad I wouldn't worry much about it.

take it to the track, run it with the big carb and see what she runs, come back, slap other carb on, run again. it's the only way to tell really, but i still think you are over carbed.
