Another what will I run thread

Here's my set up...
1988 Firebird T-Tops (2.8 then 305 now 350 going on 383)
Engine: 350 4-bolt w/ 4Barrel Edelbrock Carb, Edelbrock performer RPM intake, Summit Cam and lifters 214/224 2000-4500, Moroso Super blue ignition system and Edelbrock filter. Removed A/C and Clutch fan (Electric Fan Assembly)
Exhaust- Hooker-2055 Headers, Hooker 3" Y-pipe, deleted cat, and 3" Edelbrock catback system.
Suspension- Just a Poly tranny mount, and Engine mounts Lakewood 50/50 rear shocks.
Transmission- NWC Borg Warner T-5 Hydraulic Clutch with Aluminum Slave Cyl, SS Braided lines and Mcleod fittings.
3.73's and a locker

I used to have this set up on a 305 now its 350 how much HP and what do you think it will run... Think my T-5 can hold it for a while?

A little more camshaft, and some port work on the heads, and DEFINATLEY, get a different carb, High 12s should not be out of reach.

The T-5 will probably let go, as soon as you start to "hook" the car up.

Years ago, I contacted many shops, specializing in T-5s. Every one said the same thing. "The only thing I can do for you, is get them to shift smoother". I had broken two W/C T-5s, one with the 305, and one with the 355. So I ended up buying a Tremec TKO, from Fortes. That trans was as strong as I needed, but the shifting was very cumbersome. The large, heavy gears, made powershifting, or speedshifting, either hard, or non existant. Soooo.. I went with an auto. Bye Bye inconsistant E.Ts.

I put my tranny for trade for an auto and a couple people want it I dont "really" want to do it but I know its the best thing to do. I will really miss a manual tranny. There is no better feeling than downshifting and feeling that torque and your toes.
