Hi everyone! Browsing around the different posts here I saw a lot of inquiries on what our 3rd gen performance was stock. Being curious myself and being the Avid "Googler" that I am; I happened across the "Super Coupe Club of Iowa" web page which lists performance figures for many US produced cars (F-Body 3rd gen and otherwise). The link is http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html and following is a list of Camaros and Firebirds from that webpage. Enjoy!

it doesnt help though that usually they dont say which engine the car being tested had??
There are a few that can be easily figured out by year and model...but from 85-87ish on there really is no way to know what they were testing: L69? LB9? LB9-G92? L98? Auto? 5speed?
For your car or all of them? The numbers seem pretty close for my car... ie: SLLOOWWW although I'm trying to find economical ways to remedy that
whats your z running?
my buddy put down a 16.1@85mph w/ his stock 85 LG4. 70,000 original miles with nothing but a flowmaster, open element K&N, and B Hanger/ DR rods.
better than i was expecting...

I have never had this car to the strip, but GPS run quarter mile on my Z28 was 16.8@83
Right now its pretty much 100% stock, I've put larger wheels/tires on her but otherwise haven't done much performance wise. I just bought a dual air cleaner assembly from an 84 HO, I'm hoping that it helps to liven it up a little. I also need to do a rebuild (carb and engine) before too long, I'm at 192,000 miles now .
1989 hardtop 305 5 speed , 3.08 LSD . 227'000km's ran a 15.1@93
They have nothing for 1989 there , but they say 15.5 for a 1988 ????no engine size though
----------
1984 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am HO 7.9 16.1
thats incorrect for sure. They had 5 speeds and were closer to low 15's if anything.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
With 400 lbs of luggage, my stereo, full tire psi, cooling fans running at the start of the race, 230degrees and it was 102 degrees outside, so i guess its right.

How did 1990 IrocZ with L98 post times 1 sec faster than 1992 Z28 L98 With the same engine specs (in terms of torque and HP) ? Both had 3.23 gears. Am I missing something?
You guys do realize those times are from magazine sources. They vary, because the cars and drivers varied so much. Typically that list only uses one source, not an average or the fastest source.
