I work for a aftermarket mfg that I'll leave nameless, but you would not beleive how many people call the tech line and say "I got a fox body stang and I'm putting in a LSX motor" I must hear minimum one a week. Amazing!

Well, I know for sure that it’s not the first as they claim, there’s at least one or 2 chevy + turbo powered late model mustangs running around in the outlaw 10.5 races…

IMHO, if you have a GM, put a GM motor it in. If you have a Ford, put a Ford motor in it!

for a mustang they should of got a big block ford but that's just me. 1000 hp as they claim would be awesome tho.

love the site never seen it since now but i'm sure i'll be watching it all the time now.

i'm sure that they just know more about the lsx engines than ford engine since they got that lsx t.v. whitch is pretty awesome i guess they're just sticking with what they know.

yea, the LSX platform is really blowing up in the racing scene now. there is now an aftermarket block thats good to 2500hp, along with some amazing heads. everything is getting cheaper for them as well.
its just the way to go now i guess...

Guy that I know bought 2 brand new all black '05 GT Mustangs. One to keep as his daily driver, the other to turn into a monster. The engine he chose was a fully built 383 stroker Chevy with a 200 shot. This thing had no money spared when putting it together. Throws down low 11 second passes N/A and something crazy with juice. You wouldn't know what was under the hood until you heard it rev

Cool project...

The reason the ford guys are putting LSX motors in their stangs is because Ford motor company does not offer anything for your bang for the buck meter. Anybody can go out and buy a LS7 crate motor that makes 505 N/A horsepower with a warranty for $12500, drop it in and go. It would take at least that plus some to make a N/A MoD Motor perform as well as a LS7. Is there even a aftermarket MOD block that will go out to the 400 plus cubic inches? I don't think so.
