New best 1/8th mile time tonight...

Not bad, my simulator was off by 1 mph and .1 so i am pleased for a gay 2.71 gear...

rt..... .3572

60ft.. 2.1995

1/8... 8.467

mph.. 89.78

My previous best was a 9.0 at 81 with a smaller cubed motor, i wanted 8.3 or as low as 8.2 but hell, i was too ***** to launch it being afraid to break the T5 or 7.5 rear, i have a T56 and a dana 44 rear in the works, i think ill go sub 8s with no problem then.

Nice 1/8 MPH trap speed, should be good for 7.80's or quicker with hook.

Re: New best 1/8th mile time tonight...

man, with the trash talk you put out on the street racing forum and ls1tech.com, i thought you'd be quicker than that, lol! j/k...but for reference, my car runs 7.9's in the 1/8, but at only 84mph, so your mph is good for far quicker than that. hurry up and get that t56/dana44 in the car so you can start beating on it! seems like a stout contender though.

Re: New best 1/8th mile time tonight...

Its all on my Fquick acount if you wana see it.

Nova, i know what you mean, i KILL on the big end man, it just takes a second to get rolling with this tall gear, i think it will do some real damage with the 3.73 in. I keep pulling great in 3rd and even 4th gear just keep going man, it will be interesting to see how quick it is with the gear in, i have estimated about 450 flywheel HP.

I dont know the name of it, it is hyd roller, 110 LSA with .520/.540 lift, 236/242 dur @.050.

I have 1.6 RRs on the intake side, makes it .564 lift i think and might replicate 238 @.050 on the intake side.

Honestly, the one iscored was luck, verry few have them, there were produced in 90-92 i believe from GMPP devision as a replacement, hard to find now days, hurts me to think how many might have gotten tossed into a scrap heap.

Just gotta look for them, this one was the first i ever heard of.

I figured that cam would be good to 6600-6900. Maybe just needs lighter valvetrain like beehives.

Yea, thats what i meant, i get cams mixed here and there.

89formula, i have seen those #s before, see where it ends at 6000, it would typically push a little further before shifting in a car, right?

believe it or not, these gears suck with the LT4 engine. after the hotcam and retune, it runs out of breath at 6800rpm (500rpm more than stock) and with the 3.45s it takes FOREVER to rev up. i really need something in the 4.xx range

Re: New best 1/8th mile time tonight...

Man, 3.73 or 3.90 is not bad. I had 4.11 in a formula(95) with only RRs and cold air go 8.7 in the 1/8th and i was in 4th gear, so with more motor it is not enough gear really, it is ok for a bolt on LTx in my opinion but that is all.

MY car would love 3.42s, but 3.73 is what i will be happy with for sure.
