Rim width for 315/60-15 MT street radial

Mickey Thompson web site has listed
P315/60R15 30 X 13.50R15
Approved Rims 8.5-11.0
Measuring Rim 9.5
Tread Width 11.9
And also listed "Acceptable practice for rim width is tread width plus or minus 1''."
So you have approved size of 8.5" to 11.0
and the Acceptable practice of 10.9 to 12.9
My question is 10" or 12" and what is the pros and cons of each.

Jerry

Re: Rim width for 315/60-15 MT street radial

most guys are running them on a 10" rim. I would assume the 12" rim would be for more stability down the track. But with a stiff sidewall I don't think it would be as big an issue.

Most of the fast drag radial guys I hang with say the 315's work best on a 12" wheel and 295's work best on a 10" wheel.
