What fuel systems are you guys running on sub-12 second all motor cars running carbs. Please describe from tank to carb. If you could include an ET/MPH that would be sweet!
I haven't gotten my car down to the track yet due to breaking my leg / ankle last year but I'm confident I should be right around where you're talking about if not better... I'm running an intank Walbro 255 pump with the stock lines up to a Mallory FPR to 6an line to my carb. See sig.

My combo is very simple and goes a long way. Should be fine for a 400 Horse motor.
I have a stock tank. there is a rubber 3/8 line running to a holley blue electric pump mounted over the rear kind of. Then there is a 3/8 rubber hose running to a jegs cannister style filter. Than there is a jegs -6 braided hose running to the engine compartment and into the aeromotive two port regulator.
Comming out of the regualtor is a -6 braided hose that screws into a -6 braided dual feed line into the carb.
The system was inexpensive, easy to run and works without any issues. It's been on the dyno, on the street and on the track behind 500 or so HP.
When I put the nitrous kit on it i'm gonna duplicate the system and run it paralell.

mine with fuel injection should make it to mid 11's easily with no power adders, I got a 12.03 starting in 2nd last year, it shifted itself at 4400, so I know it has a bit more to go!

I have a 12 gallon cell mounted in the hatch but under the car. I have a Magna Fuel pro star 500 pump and filter combo (overkill but I will never have to worry about fuel starvation). From the cell I have -10 to the pump, then -10 up to the regulator that is bolted to the carb flange, then -6 from the regulator to the carb inlets. Car runs 9.83 so far and there is a lot more left in it. I still need the right size carb and the right converter for this new motor. Check out my cardomain link in the sig for pics.
Stock from the tank to the factory fuel lines on a factory carb'd car. Using a holley mechanical 80gph pump with -6 line from the factory line to pump, and pump to carb. Gone 12.56@110mph. Russel inline fuel filter up front.
I replaced the stock line with #8 steel tube all the way from the tank to the front. Holley Blue pump with a Fram HPG-1 filter mounted behind the tank. Holley regulator just before the carb up front. I pulled the stock sump and replaced the 3/8" line with 1/2" tube that I brazed into the stock sump bung.
on the convertible - SS 3/8 hard line from the tank to a victor mechanical pump, 3/8 braided hose from there to a standard holley regulator and then to the carb. 11.72, mph was around 115-120(it's been several years now). Fuel pressure was rock solid at 7.5psi from idle to 7200 in 4th gear(didn't even dip clicking 5th and getting nasty on the highway).
I'm using a stock tank with a sump welded on and a fitting welded on the top side for the return line. I used 8an braided hose for the feed lines and 6an for the return. The pump is an Aeromotive SS with an Aeromotive return style regulator. I have a wire mesh type filter before the pump to catch the big stuff and 10 micron element filter after the pump. Its probably overkill but it works great and has never given me any trouble at the track or on the street.
Magnafuel 500 pump,filter and whole kit from them was like 900.00 been 9.19@ 147.92 3380 lbs 477 cid Pontiac with a single 1200 cfm holley carb by Davinci.
-10 from the sump to the pump to the front to a magnafuel big carb regulator. -6 lines to the carb and solenoids, etc

i ran a -8 off of a fitting welded to the bottom of the stock tank to an aeromotive s/s pump, -8 to the front to the aeromotive s/s fuel pressure regulator, -6 feed line to the car and a -6 return going back through the top of the tank. worked GREAT. i picked up .2 when going from a mechanical fuel pump and 3/8" to the afformentioned system in my 305 when it was running mid 12's.

i bought your aeromotive pump Matt!! now i have the stock tank sumped with -10 from sump to pump then -8 to the regulator and -6 to the holley dp with a -8 return to -8an fitting welded to the top of the tank....ALL my stock fuel lines are gone, there's only two lengths of braided steel hose under my car running up against the pass. side SFC's right....nice and clean!!

i have a system very similar to his execpt i have a mallory 140 comp. pump with the matchind none return regulator. this system is very capable of mid- 10's with a small block in a 3000 to 3500 pound car from what i seen
my car goes 11.76 @ 114 and my uncle, my dad, and i all agree it can go 11.60's with more tuning
stock tank, braided -8 to a fuel filter (not sure what kind) then to a holley blue pump, and braided -8 all the way to a bulkhead on the firewall (not through firewall, just mounted on a tab for easy removal) then more braided to an edelbrock regulator/throttle bracket plate.. simple, i think.. have a friend running a similar fuel setup going mid 10's.. holley blue pump..
stock tank/sender with the intank pump removed and replaced with a length of rubber hose -> stock lines through stock filter -> Holley mechanical 110gph fuel pump -> 6AN line into a Summit dual feed line. Car has been 120mph on motor with this setup and nothing to indicate that it is starving...
Stock tank. Replaced the pickup with my own 3/8" steel line pickup with flaired mouth end.
Rerouted 3/8" aluminum fuel line, $5 autoparts store 3/8" paper element in line filter. Carter P4594 7psi 72GPH pump. No regulator. The pump is mounted over the axle.
There is actually 2 twin systems installed. 1 is for the nitrous.

11.92@115 best. N/A 1 pump will flow 47GPH @4PSI thru 1 .110" holley needleseat
and 60GPH @2PSi thru a .156" orifice.
Not pretty but it works.
sumped tank, -10 from sump to bg 220 , -8 from bg 220 to holley fpr (also passes through a filter in line there somewhere) , dual -6 from holley fpr to float bowls .
With my old 388 running 10.98/11.00's I tried all of the standard Holley pumps, red, blue, black, stock and HP spring in each one...all the same pump, only difference is the spring they install. Regardless, so as the light turned green it went from 8.5psi idle setting to 3psi at WOT and by the big end would sparatically get a lean sputter. That was a sumped tank, -10 line to Aeromotive high flow filter, holley pump, -10 upto dead head holley regulator with -8 to each bowl.
Now i run a A1000 with a A1000 return style reg (since i burnt up 2-A2000 trying to street drive them, -10 line from sumped tank to Ramco high flow fuel filter/water seperator, -10 from there to A1000 pump, -10 from pump to A1000 regulator, -8 return line to tank (i installed a -8 bulkhead fitting on top of the tank when i had it removed to install sump and ran a pig tail line down since i knew eventually i would run a return style system) -6 from each side of regulator to each carb bowl.
Then i added the nitrous so i installed a Y block in the main -10 line before the A1000 regulator and that goes up and feeds a Jegs dead head FP regulator with -4 going to the nitrous solenoid.
Now with everything up and running weather it be just the engine on a NA pass or going for broke NA the fuel psi never bobbles, moves, etc...almost like it's stuck on 8.5 the entire pass....wishing i would've just done the fuel system this way the first time years ago and been done vs all the experimenting and trying to make a silk purse from a sows ear with the holley junk and dead headed systems.
