what is the backspacing on the rears? and do they rub or did you have to clear out any space?

a butt shot would be appreciated too with those healthy meats on it. also interested in how much "massaging" it took, and if they're tucked under the lip

325s are way overkill unless you're solidly in the 10s even then there are people running way quicker on 275s.

The 275's do work great i was cutting consistent 1.3's at the end of the season last year and running low 10's on a very conservative tune. i went to a 325 because I want it to hook on a marginal track plus i like the big meat

Re: new wheels!

i'm probably going to run the 275, or maybe a 26x8.5 gonna give the small tire deal out, home track can usually hold a fuel altered but having the 325 would be bitchin

Re: new wheels!

brando if you don't have a lot of suspension stuff then a 26x10 ET street would be a good choice for you. It'll hook better with less and be more forgiving than a drag radial at the track.

Re: new wheels!

suspension isn't really an issue, rear has sone CM double adjustables control arms, soon to get a track pak torque arm, and a burkhart CM double adjustable panhard, i'm just thinking about the 800ish horsepower coming the end of this season, beginning of next.

Re: new wheels!

well then you'd be picking out 28x10.5 or bigger tires and a built 9" and a built trans and a 10 point cage etc etc

wish i had your money then.

Re: new wheels!

the 9 inch will be coming later in the month, along with the rest of the suspension, got a 10.5 tire class here i want to run, takes 5.80's to be competitive. key word here is lots and lots of juice lol. gotta upgrade the cage and all that yet, simple paint project got a little out of hand lol. gonna try it on 275s, but biggest tire i can have is a 325, or a 28x10.5. sorry for the hijack! looking forward to more pictures

But how much better will the 325 hook on the street? I am sure it is a big difference, i would think so anyways. 4.30 gears and a big block, i am curious to see how many gears it murders my 295 radials thru when it is running.

Re: new wheels!

no most people run slicks "on the street" if they're street racing. put down the magazines. Neither one hooks well IMO. I've had a 275/60 and 325/50 among others on my car, ya they hook but not as well on an unprepped surface as a slick would.

Re: new wheels!

I will not run around on the street with slicks unless i am taking care of "business".

And no ma'am, from personal experience, the MT drag radials hook well on the street, never read anything about it in a rag, hope that makes you happy i did not read it somewhere.

Looks great man! I have Greg Welds and love them right now, but those do look a little better to me right now.. But I really like my Greg Welds being they just went out of business, so should not be many around, and I think I will be the only 4th gen with being there are fitment problems even with LT1 brakes, but my rear is narrowed as well..

Re: new wheels!

what backspacing did you get the fronts in 1 3/4 or 2 1/4 i had 15x3.5s with 1 3/4 just wondering if the extra 1/2 in made the wheels stick out or under anymore
