got 4 pounds out of it.
its a quick hack job, but you arent going to see it.
i may go back and cut some more, or drill some holes, not sure.
anyway. give someone some ideas, or get a good laugh out of me.
pound is a pound and i dont like the way my car looks without a rear seat.

too many mods to type.
6.23@109.71 pump gas. all motor.
stage my friend, you are a racer in true form. no laughing from me...those rear seats are right at 30lbs total...i'd like to see them weigh about 10lbs total...i got a ton of bars in the way of those seats so they'd never be used. could you potentially leave just the perimeter of the frame?

thats kinda what i was thinking nova, if i could get the weight down enough, i'd put seats back in my car too. looks kinda bare back there without them

I only have the bottom cushions in, to create a "level" floor.
Its kinda only temporary until I build a flat board to go across the ds tunnel. Then I might even cut the floor "buckets" out, reweld the floor into a flat area to tuck my mufflers up into that area & increase my ground clearance.

my 4th gen leather were 27 pounds.
ive got this setup down to 17 pounds now (no backrest cover to weigh)
the bottom cushions i have are 4 pounds a piece. dont see how you could shave anymore weight out of them.
the frame is about as far as you can take it and still work.
i didnt cut holes in the top cause you can see it from the hatch and i didnt want the carpet "sinking in" over time.
ive played with the idea of getting rid of the frame altogether and having the foam covered and velcro it to the car.
haha!
